I love Jack and I find it easy to love Jack. I like her romance.
GodWood, I love having squaddies that present me with conflict. It's delicious. Unlike most forumites I hear from, I also like to be challenged by people (most people call characters who challenge you "whiners").
And Jacob just being "there" isn't the reason I dislike him, actually. As far as I'm concerned, Thane is just "there", and I like him.
F*** OFF!

I love watching completely flip their s--t about someone deciding to kill off a fictional character because it's the only way to get them off your ship after they're recruited. If there was a "Dismiss" conversation option, I bet most would take it in regards to a least favorite character. But there isn't. Blame Bioware.
I wonder if these posters also fear that George R.R. Martin is secretly a serial killer because tons of characters die in his novels, or if it only matters when they're your favorite character.

He is surly, standoffish, uptight, and teaches me nothing except that he wants me to leave him alone.
So I did.
The absolute tragedy is that his first few dialogue scenes are great. Then he turns into this... thing. This thing that I like not at all. And he's supposed to be the "buddy" character? Pfft.

Hey, let's not speculate on what people feel about an author completely unrelated to the Mass Effect series. Also, comments of "aw, it's trying to be clever" also seem a bit off base on a public forum. Also, this thread was about Jack who is not Jacob. And since I've had to do three different warnings for behavior in a 3-page long thread, this thread can now be locked. Thank you. Read this.
