So I've been using the OL map system, referring to SoZ when ever I hit a wall. Now I'm running into a big wall.
I can't get OL map encounters to work and I am not sure why/ Tried every trick I know, and I pretty much referred to SoZ for everything on the OL , so I'm stuck. Anyone know anything about OL encounters?

wow thanks for this, its finally working. What I was missing from the overland map encounters was the following:
"Somewhere on the map. In an out of the way area that has a valid walkmesh you must have a waypoint tagged: wp_neutral and one tagged: wp_hostile if you want neutral and hostile mobs to spawn. The spawner basically creates the creature at those locations and jumps them to within PC range."
Highly irregular that none of the official tutorials mention that one crucial element lol. Thanks this was a big help.

Even after reading the above link I still can't figure out exactly what files/scripts I need and how exactly to get everything set up for my overland encounters.

Nice, contacted every single good NWN2 builder on the site and no one wants to help me out. Great community here.

cyric657,
There are very few mods that have implemented the SoZ overland map, so I don't think there is a great deal of community collective knowledge available. Perhaps this is an opportunity for you to figure it out and contribute to the community knowledge base. But if you'd rather not then you run the risk that sometimes no one knows the answer.
This is a great community. But we are all volunteers trying to figure out how undocumented stuff written by other people works. Sometimes there are no easy answers. Or it takes a long while.
Curse the darkness or light a candle. Your choice.
Regards

The scripts that you need are listed in that link above under step 4.
Also, check out this link: http://nwn2forums.bi...&forum=113&sp=0
And this link (read replies): http://nwn2forums.bi...59108&forum=113
And this link: http://nwvault.ign.c...s.Detail&id=113
All the mentioned files can be found in the SoZ campaign folder. Some need to be exported out of specific SoZ modules.
