Anyone else notice that if you create a specialist sunelf wizard with max starting INT (i.e., 20) you don't get the advertised bonus spell slots as per the NWN2 specialist wizard rules. Is this WAD or a bug? I'm guessing there must be a conflict with the bonus spells from having such a high INT and the specialization bonus spells (i.e, perhaps the two effects do not stack?). Any one can confirm/explain?

This was tested at levels 1 and 5. I'm playing the NWN2 OC patched to 1.23. MotB / SoZ are not installed.

How many slots do you have? A level one specialist wiz with 20 int should have 4 first level spells per day. I made a level 1 wizard and everything worked perfectly.

my bad, i see what the problem is. The 'generalist' wizard I was comparing this to was one of the recommended packaged wizards (instead choosing of custom). You are actually asked in 2 places if you want to specialize, hence the confusion. sorry about this.

I just this minute started up SOZ and made two almost identical Elf wizards with INT 20. The specialist has four level one spells. The generalist has three. They're standing side-by-side on the deck right now.

The question is "how are you getting four spells with your generalist?"

er... never mind.

I saw that.

As long as you're here, maybe you can tell me how to get strikethrough to work on this forum.  Anybody?

This might work.

Edit: Yep. Use "s" instead of the whole word.
