Hi,

I've recently downloaded Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker (on 360) and it seems they just broke the whole game. In Vulcan Station for instance, I get the infamous "unreadable disc" error every 2 steps I take... and now I can't even start a new game, it simply freezes when loading character creation. I tried removing and re-downloading the DLC four times but no luck. I tried playing on disc 1 and 2, it crashes at the exact same spot, besides my discs are perfectly clean and I had no problems with ME2 before those DLCs.

I can't seem to find any information regarding this problem is anyone having the same kind of issue ? Is Bioware even working on a fix, or is the problem with my game ? I can't accept that, I mean I've bought the collector's edition and every single piece of DLC, took great care of the DVDs and it would just become a piece of junk in a year ?

Oh, got no answers from EA support too... can anyone help please  ?

I finally got round to downloading/playing Lair of the Shadow Broker and both Discs are now claiming to be unreadable dispite being perfectly clean, as soon as I press Start on the tittle screen I get the unreadable error message at the same point on both discs. This isn't good, I just bought 1000 MS points specifically for this DLC and now not only cant I play it but I can't play any of the rest of the game either, let me know if you get a solution, I too am going to try and get in touch with Bioware/EA tech support.

By removing both Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker I was able to start a new game, and I found out that the disc error still happens at specific point but different depending on your campaign. My imported ME1 soldier crashes as soon as the first enemy appears on the prison ship where Jack is recruited, but a fresh new sentinel passes okay and crashes on Zaeed's and Jack's loyalty mission... I'm not sure of my understanding of this bug but it may be tied to the use of specific combination of other DLCs (extra weapons, alterante appearance), Shepard's class and order of missions.

I'm currently in the process of re-downloading LOTSB and its taking forever so I'll see how it goes once its done. I had an on-line chat with an EA techy earlier and I just got told my discs were faulty (which they aren't).

I downloaded LOTSB as well and now I also can't load either of my ME2 discs. It just reads disc unreadable and my discs are in perfect condition. Bioware PLEASE HELP

I may have something for you to try...

I found out that the squad's alternate appearances where causing some of those problems. I have yet to try it while playing Overlord or LotSB but I have been able to successfully overcome the crash I had on the Purgatory by simply restarting the mission with the same team (Kasumi & Garrus), same weapons and everything except I turned off Garrus' DLC appearance and Kasumi's loyalty appearence. For some reasons, it did work on this particular crash.

After some days of playing I can confirm that using all the standard appearances for the squad fixes those crash. Not a single problem in a complete run through the game and Overlord DLC. I'm redownloading LotSB and hopefully it'll work too. Have you tried this "fix" guys ?

Thanks Xunkar! I had this "unreadable disk" problem during suicide mission. I replaced Stasis from my Shep, took off dlc weapons from my squad and i finished the game properly.
