It appears that there is no effect or item property that can provide immunity to EffectPetrify. Am I mistaken? Is there a way to implement this immunity that does not require some sort of workaround heartbeat script constantly looking for a petrify effect or the use of the spell hooks system? Thank you.

Not that i know of - however the spellhook is more than capable of doing it, or just editing spellsIsImmuneToPetrification or CSLGetIsImmuneToPetrification and recompiling 2-3 spells, i will probably add a variable which can be used to make things immune which my version of this function can pick up on. If i were you i'd just use the spell hook to handle this ( heartbeat will just be a mess ).

Thanks. I ended up just scripting spell immunity effects for the 5 or 6 spells that cause petrification. Not much I can do if somebody scripts a petrification effect though.
