I was wondering how other players plan to develop their first characters' class and combat specializations.

For example, mine will likely be:

Champion (Warrior Specialization)

Sword & Shield (Combat Specialization)

Well, I'm not sure which of my characters I'll be playing as first, so I'll just do all of them.

Human Noble Warrior: Champion, Sword and Shield/Bow and Arrow
Dalish Elf Rogue: Duelist, Dual Blades and Archery (No Stealth)
Elf Mage: Arcane Warrior or Spirit Healer, Primal/Entropy

Just so you know, you get two specializations. One at level 7 and the other at level 14.

You aren't going to answer the question? You're only posting to enlighten me? Not that I don't appreciate it, because I do, but at least answer the question if you're taking the time to post that.

Sword and shield warrior, with the first specialization being champion, and the second I'm not too sure about, maybe templar.

You should chuck the extra chuck after your wood chuck, as a wood chuck could probably not chuck that much even if a wood chuck ever tried. But I digress… I'm with Maria on this one. I do not know yet. There are many possibilities, and to know for sure which one I was going to get would involve looking through spoilers from the plot, as certain specializations only come up during the course of events.

Elven Mage, Spirit healer and Shapeshifter, with a focus in the spirit school for the vanilla mage

Ray Muzyka seems to love the mage. According to him, a Blood Mage/Spirit Healer is a devastating combo.

Makes sense spirit healer for healing and blood mage to use health to preform spells.

I am kinda thinking shapeshifter and spirit healer may make the best solo character.Or arcane warrior and spirit healer.
