I just purchased the shadow broker campaign and i'm having issues with it. When i first make it to the towers one of the "injured civilians" is completely invisible, farther along when i finally confront the "spectre" and then chase him down the game gets lost aat the car. i see the cut scene with the spectre and liara shooting at each other, it then saves and switches to my character however i can't do anything from here. liara doesn't exist the spectre isn't doing anything and shooting her the bullets just go through.
Please help!
I'm running ME 1.02.

Don't waste your time. This DLC doesn't work and it seems like BioWare and EA don't care.
They can say goodbye to Mass Effect 3. I am not buying that game until I finish Layer of the Shadow Broker.
Think twice BioWare before you screw with your clients

Works completely fine for me... Maybe re-download and reinstall the DLC?

Re-sownload and reinstall don´t work, Maaaad is correct this DLC is broken for a LOT of people especially in the cutscene after the car chase, and this bug is not restricted to Geforce 7xxx series as some people are saying. I have a Geforce GTS 250 and I am having the problem, a friend of mine have a Geforce GTX 275 and is having the problem too.

believe me, I tried everything and the game crashes at the car chase scene.
I have a ATI Radeon HD5470 video card.
I uninstalled the game and I will sell it. As much as I enjoyed playing ME1 and ME2 , I will not continue ME3 since my main character can't continue. I am really disappointed by the lack of interest from BioWare and EA.

I was able to solve it, i reinstalled the ME1.02 patch then I restarted the mission and chose miranda & grunt instead of morinth & zane. Mission played through succesfully.

All your video drivers up to date? nVidia cards seem to be the worsr off when it comes to bugs. I tried an nVidia card once. Faulty drivers (aslo turned out the card was one of the defective models they sold anyway) caused my pc to crash every time I tried to play a game, couldn't get older drivers for it either. Had no probs since I went ATI. Try an ATI card if you can.
Also try updating your motherboard BIOS, could be a recent Windows/software patch has made an alteration to how the system handles data to and from the video card.

008Zulu I have all my drivers updated. This problem is wide open to lots of people this is clearly an issue in the game and have nothing to do with drivers, or cards or whatever reason the fanboys can try to think of to defend the game. The support of Bioware/EA is the worst I´ve seen.

Lair of the Shadow Broker works correctly for me until the car chase scene. At that point I hit a fatal graphical glitch. A graphical scene flashes briefly on the screen, then the screen goes dark. It's not a crash; the chase scene is running, I'm getting advice from Liara on where to go - but I can't see anything. Black screen.
Operating System: Windows XP SP 3
CPU: 3.46 GHzPentium® D CPU
RAM: 2 GB RAM
Video Card: nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX x 2 (SLI)
Audio: DirectX 9.c compatible SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio [B8C0]
DirectX: DirectX August 2008
1. What version of the game are you playing: physical disc or digital download (along with which vendor)?
physical disc, v1.02. I bought the game from Gamestop.
2. System Details
* Processor / Clock Speed / RAM 2457 MHz 1.99 GB
* Display Adapter / VRAM / Driver Version nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX version 196.21
* Sound Adapter / Driver Version SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio [B8C0] version 5.12.1.1196
* Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (5.1.2600)
* DirectX Version 9.0c (Aug 2008)
1. What is the nature of the problem you are seeing? Black screen during car chase scene in the DLC Lair of the Shadow Broker. This is *not* a crash; the game continues to run, Liara gives driving directions, pressing keys results in acceleration sounds, but I can't see to drive.
2. When did the problem start occurring? October 26, 2010, first time attempting to play the DLC. The glitch occurs every time I attempt to play that scene. I've tried disabling SLI and jiggling various nVidea control panel settings (such as changing the screen resolution), to no avail.
3. Where does your problem occur? Car chase scene in the middle of the DLC Lair of the Shadow Broker.
4. What are the steps in replicating the problem? Start car chase scene. The screen flickers with a graphic view of... a cityscape or something, but only very, very briefly. Then the scene goes dark.
5. Have you modified your game in any way? Only with official Bioware DLC content. I haven't modified anything else.

guys stop trying to justify there total screw up ,the darn dlc does not work properly,there is nothing wrong with your systems they totaly screwed up on this one and not even trying to make and attempt to fix it, But the Message is so clear ,we dont care about you ,we only want your money, we are not going to fix it, Why should we,we have suckers buying it as it all the time. I know i was one of them,but the last laugh is on me. I will never buy another game of any type created or made or partnership or merged with these people again. I will read every single lable to make sure i dont buy any game dealing with them. My friends where i live agree with me and we are sending emails out to all our others friends so they in turn do the same, if we start a large enough chain mail on this abuse ,and it starts to effect there income,they will take notice, so if you want to participate ,guys best advertisement for a game is work of mouth,spead the word. That is our power.

From what i was able to research it looks like installing this DLC installs a bad version of the ME1.02 patch, reinstalling it and restarting the mission seemed to fix it.

This may be a dumb question. If I bought the game via steam and it keeps it always up-to-date with patches, how do I re-load a certain patch?

Had the same problem... Turning off motion blur fixed it.
