Since there always seems to be topics about the best weapons for shepard to use, I thought i would start one about teammate weapons. Which weapon of each type do you use the most on teammates? Is it because you feel it is the best weapon for teammates or simply your favorite? Here's mine.

Assault Rifle - Tend to use Mattock bt not sure if Vindicator would be better for squadies?
Shotgun - Eviscertor normally
SMG - Locust(I like the longer range capabilitiesover Tempest for mates)
Pistol - Carnifax Cannon(armor killer)
Sniper Rifle- This one I have no idea on. I'm not very versed in Sniper rifles, more of the in your face kinda shepard. Is Incisor good because of the three round burst?

The Incisor is the only good sniper for squad mates. Average Gatsby has an awesome video detailing how broken it is when your squad mates use it.

Here you go.

ARs = Mattock (formerly Vindicator)

SGs = Geth Plasma Shotgun (formerly Eviscerator) / Grunt gets Claymore

SMGs = Tempest

HP = Phalanx (formerly Carnifex)

SR = Incisor (formerly Avenger) / Legion gets Widow depending on what Defences are prominent on the respective level

I use the Eviscerator on Grunt too, actually. Most squad mates tend to attack with shotguns from a farther distance than is optimal with the Claymore or Scimitar, so I give them the Eviscerator to maximize their damage output. Generally, it gives Jack a much higher damage output, which is good, because on lower difficulties, I use her on every mission.

I may add that I deliberately order Grunt to storm enemy lines. With his upgrades and fully evolved Passive Skill (both ones) he wreaks enough havoc with the Claymore to make life substantially easier. Combine that with the notoriously human racist targeting priorities (You AIs are all racist!) Grunt with the Claymore is more a level grinder than myself (Engineer class really excels with that loadout: Grunt+Claymore+Attack Drone+Defence Stripping Powers+Biotic Squadmate (at best Thane for Sniper Action=Rain of death).

Otherwise they get the GPS because that way they actually do hit the enemies they are firing at.

I wish everyone did not think the Incisor was broken because of that video.  Many times on this forum I have posted this message from Eric ****nan when I asked him about the Incisor:

"I asked our weapon designer and he has verified this in the past and the henchmen do still have a penalized damage output on that weapon. Keep in mind that henchmen are very accurate with that weapon, and the weapon always fires 3 bullets at a time. Also, henchmen have unlimited ammo."

I'm sorry. I used 'broken' as a general term meaning 'very, very effective.' It's innacurate, I know, but ten years of playing fighting games will engrave the jargon into a person's mind. I still find myself saying fighting-game-themed things when I play role-playing games. Recently, I was playing Mass Effect 2 and took down an entire room of enemies within a small amount of time, and I said out loud "oh man, I'm straight-up Magneto right now!"

Also, I laughed at the censorship. Poor Eric with his politically incorrect surname.

I gotta agree that Grunt fully upgraded with claymore is a monster. He is a stable on almost all non-syntetic missions for my less in your face characters
