Benz was only in a couple of scenes. It wasn't thrown in your face like it was with ME2. Cue a gratuitous butt shot by Miranda(now in 3D).

Anyways the flipping and flying...Mortal Combatesque junk...I hope is minimal in the game and not like with the cinematic trailers. Someone must have been watching too much House of The Flying Daggers.

/triple facepalm

Nice try, but your bashing and ignorance is showing. You want to beleive EA is teh evil and corrupting Bioware, then beleive that, the truth however is Bioware always does this.:wizard:

YEAH! I agree. Fight scenes need to be boring and unimaginative, not flying around craziness and badassery.

I know you are being sarcastic, but you really have to have your flippyness within reason.

Otherwise it becomes Yoda/Palpatine from SW 2/3 and it just looks. . .silly.

Eh

To me it makes sense that a rogue's fighting style is more agility and less strength. And to be fair, nothing in the trailer that involved flying around was very weird.

You can find Rogue demo gameplay on youtube if you look hard enough. . .I always figured that's what people were complaining about, but that guy didn't look like he knew what he was doing anyhow.

There is one? I'll definitely have to look.
For the record, I thought he was complaining about Isabela fighting in the trailer. Either case my sarcasm still stands. :P

There were several flashy "ninjas are cool" leaps that I saw going on...reminded me of those anime's my friend likes to watch. Ninja's hopping around all over the place like grasshoppers. Very amusing but not something I want to see in a game...unless i'm getting JRPG, then I would expect it.

personally I would want to see some Archer-type combat and see what Bioware is doing with that, in terms of combat, class & skill development.

My only archer made the Ultimate Sacrifice.  However, I will second you on this for sure.  If IGN got a preview, you can bet there will be other sites getting previews, too.

Bioware, do show us Lady Hawke. The description from the IGN article leaves me wanting...

I want a trailer with Lady/Femme Hawke. That is what I meant by "Bioware, do show us Lady Hawke..."

Yeah...IGN said in the DAO review that Zevran was the easy romance who just wanted fun and not a relationship. The reality of Zevran was much more complicated and nuanced than that.

Sometimes IGN tends to judge the entire character on the basis of a few obvious details and miss the point.

Nice little quote I grabbed from the DLC link that I liked

Article wrote...

"What we're doing with the DLC in Dragon Age 2 is making it larger; so it'll be bigger teams, more unique environments, more unique creatures - so that it gets the attention it deserves to get."

Shadow worked just as well on Archers that it did for backstabbers, save Pandemonium, though I didn't see the point in using Pandemonium in the first place.

still think that even shadows was more geared towards melee rogues and ranged rogues overall, even if you could use it that way. Specifically looking at the descriptions of the class and the skills as well it just feels more geared towards the melee rogue.

You didn't see a point in a skill that made your enemies attack each other?

I love Assassin, and I like the ideas etc of Shadow, I just haven't played with it in Origins / Awk yet. I like that each spec is apparently going to be deeper, talent wise and maybe story-wise. I think there should still be 4 specs for each class, though. Maybe it's just me, but I'm used to expansions and sequels adding on to what we've experienced. And teleportation? Um, what? Where the F did that come from?

Question on the Assassin "lore": Why is it always Antivan in nature? Surely there are other Assassin Guilds or what have you that you could use. You learned it from Zevran (most likely) in Origins, and now the "lore" itself says the spec is Antivan? I understand Legionaire being so unique, but an assassin whacks people for money, doesn't strike me as being solely Spanish or French.

Isabela: I understand giving her a face lift and making her unique, etc. And I can kinda see the more masculine face effect you're probably going for, but I think you could've done that a little bit better. I believe it's been said in this thread, but I do not want ME 2 style inventories / armors / clothes. The easy lover part I see, and I wouldn't be surprised if she's the F / F option. I would be slightly disappointed, but not surprised. She was already half an option for that in Origins, now you might not even be trying.

Parting Comments on that Preview: I'm a dude, and I don't like playing males in games if I can help it. And frankly, almost everything I've heard about DA 2 has made me lose interest in it. I'm a music junkie though, I want the soundtrack.

Not for the ridiculous Stamina Cost and not when I could just kill them with Flicker, no.

Your loss. Children turning on Hurlocks, and using overwhelm on them was hilarious.
