If that is fat to you I really don't want to know what kind of women you find to be skinny.

can't find the isabela thread anymore, so

Though I love her overall look and concept, I'm afraid she's suffering from the Sonya Blade complex (MK fans kow what I mean) Her face looks so off, unless she was intended to look butch and generally unatractive (There are ways to make a character be generally well liked through looks, not saying everyone should look like a bombshell or anything like that >_>)....

I do think I will like this character though, especially if I can bypass my personal facial annoyance..

So it's a good thing for me that the concept in this case outwagers the negativity I have towards her....

I really hope you guys try to improve her more, so I can like her even more :)

Eh

To me it makes sense that a rogue's fighting style is more agility and less strength. And to be fair, nothing in the trailer that involved flying around was very weird.

You can find Rogue demo gameplay on youtube if you look hard enough. . .I always figured that's what people were complaining about, but that guy didn't look like he knew what he was doing anyhow.

Just went and watched the footage.

All the backflips, spins, rolls etc did look really stupid I have to say but that was in the exagerated section so I'll hold back on what the actual gameplay is like. I can understand moves like that on a console where you're playing with a pad and hitting buttons but I'm not even sure how you would implament those type of moves on the pc where a mouse is used, I've never used any other keys apart from space and tab in all my Origins playthroughs, unless the flips etc happen automatically.

Agreed. Maybe he just doesn't like it when women look like women. Personally I would be happy if there was a curvaceous woman present. Nothing crazy or out of proportion but just a bit.

Seriously, I think the specializations (specs) that Bioware chose for the rogue class are ideal. Shadow, Assassin and Duelist are true DPS’ers.

In Dragon Age Origins: Awakening, I experienced those three specs with Nathaniel, and I did have fun using them, but I had even more scintillating amusement with the Legionnaire Companion, Sigrun (more so than Nathaniel as a damage dealer, because his dexterity was very high; he thus excelled as an archer).

Sigrun was a force to reckon with; she killed quickly and dealt large amount of damages (I balanced her strength and dexterity, and I ensured she had a nice pool of stamina, too.). In addition, while controlling her, I used bombs and poisons, which allowed her to dispatch the enemies even faster. She ruled in Shadow form though, and watching her performed awesome moves, as a duelist… not being there when the enemy hit… was truly enjoyable.

In one of the scenes from the current trailer (the scene where she hurls a throwing dagger at the enemy) and in Hawke's flashback in the first trailer (Destiny), she looks awesome.  My only suggestion to Bioware is that their increase the extended piece (I would say the tabard piece, which is a more representative/descriptive way to say this) of her dress up to just above her knees, which is more chic and sensual.  The piece will cover her "derrière" (Radiant Jen Zi of Jade Empire comes to mind; though clads sexily, her derrière remains covered during her flips or rolls)  when she executes those awesome moves.

Edit:  added Radiant Jen Zi:

Shadow_Warrior, yes she does, and I believe John Epler stated the reason Isabela looks the way she does in certain scenes are due to differing expressions based on the actions being delivered/performed. I believe, he also stated that this is not the final product.

I like the dress, too.  I simply wish that the characters in Jade Empire would serve as models. They executed flips and rolls and their derrières remain covered (mostly an art decision).

Edit: corrected omitted punctuations.

I love her look and to be honest I only found her chin strange in the cliff shot, in all the others it looks pretty normal. And fat? ohmygosh...I sure as heck hope that most people don't consider that fat. At any rate I'm excited she is in DA2.

Bioware, do show us Lady Hawke. The description from the IGN article leaves me wanting...

You can see her in the gallery accessible from the article. It's bit older shot but i doubt it changed very much.

Tmp7704, thanks for the image and link (It took me to the IGN site, but it requires that I sign up before I can access the site).  However, what I would like to see is a trailer with Lady/Femme Hawke, possibly with one of the new hairstyles (a different one from the one she currently sports).

Rogues better not be limited to only those weapons. I want swords.

I want blunt weapons.  Maces and hammers would be terrific.

True, maces are ideal for bosses because of the armor penetration bonus that is included or provided.  I do not know for sure if certain abilities will require that you hold a dagger in the main hand in order for their availabilities.  If there is no such requirement, during boss fights it would be ideal for a rogue to dual-wield two one handed maces (I also hope their attack speed is reduced; that will allow a rogue to deliver blows quicker.. with lightning speed so to speak.)

Besides that, I believe a rogue should sport two daggers, for that will permit him/her to chomp away the enemy as fast as possible.

P.S. The throwing dagger is a delicious addition.  Kudos Bioware.

With respect to Specializations. It seems that these are just the specs for a dual-wielder rogue, I wonder if there are going to be additional specs for Archers or if it will be done mostly through the talent trees?

Since specializations are supposed to be slightly bigger now (in terms of how many points can be spent on them and such) maybe they just tweaked the original version of the specializations, so they're useful both to the melee and ranged rogues?

I've never heard a guy call a girl fat and meant good by it, but you can try to, if you so choose.  And please. . .don't try and use phat, you'll embarrass yourself.

Kind of fat?....wow....

seriously? I was more impressed that BioWare actually did something no other game company has every done (that I'm aware of before) and gave a woman with large breasts a more realistic body to support them with instead of the size zeros with J cups we're used to.
