...this is saying it again...the animation looks incredible solid. Love it.

Also, when Isabela throws the knife. Is that a face that appears on the handle..? I might take a picture if anyone else thought the saw it, at first I thought it was reflection..but it looks like it's on the handle itself. Meh.

Probably just 'nuthin.

Well that trailer just confirmed my fears. lol. I think I'll pass on this game. I prefer old school games and the new ME dialogue will most likely be very limited just like ME 2 in comparison to Origins. Plus I prefer a tactical combat over a mindless hack n slash console combat system. A fully voiced non customizable character is also a pretty big let down. I think I actually like the new art style and a lot but one thing will not keep my attention when they have changed so much.
Still might rent it though! Gotta try it since it is Bioware.

While I think the trailer is ok, I would like to see some actul gameplay/some of the voice work (but its great to finally get some more info on DA2 Image IPB) but I'm pretty sure the Hawke that we've seen so far is just the default Hawke, and we can customise him like we could to Shepard in ME, they've already said somewhere on the forums that Hawke's family changes depending on how your Hawke looks (i.e. skin tone etc)

Well, the video had changed my mind.

I think I might pre-order DA2 through EA now... Even though their EA Scam program is awfully terrible.

In my opinion, judging from this video, If they keep the role-player elements, this game could be really good :)

Agreed, it's a collection of cut scenes and cinematics nothing really showing actual gameplay. I'm basing my opinion on gameplay from the leaked videos.

On a positive note, I'm continually impressed by the detail and design of some of the clothes and armors (except dawkspawn), which is an improvement over DA:O.

not sure what there is to like, tbh. little (if any) gameplay, no examples of anything that would make this interesting beyond an amazingly generic looking hack and slash title, some bland cliched "here comes a champion" type text splashes and.....nothing else at all.

either bioware is keeping content beyond button mashing fighting hidden until the last moment, or this is the main content of the game and any attempt at rpg has gone out of the window.

Haha, I made the same mistake, I was like "What!? 1 November... why?!" After that I remembered that Americans like to do everything backwards. :P

Some good cut scene footage. A lot of rich detail in the city and in the characters, especially the pirate. The visuals truly are stunning. A minor nit - To be honest, I'm getting a bit worn on bullet time, mostly because it is more often that not used as a crutch in film. No fault on BW's part as it is a popular technique and I trust them to use it sparingly and at the appropriate moments.

As to the gameplay itself, I don't see much difference between this and the "gameplay footage that cannot be named" floating about on youtube. *shrugs*

Thanks for putting this out.

The funny thing is that BioWare is (mostly) Canadian.  Don't Canadians also use the dd/mm/yyyy format too? ^_^

Well hopefully this will put all those "ugly graphics" comments to rest.

Gamers don't really care about graphics, actually.

errr you may not, but I most certainly do and I have been playing PC games since the crappy 286 days :)

Great vid (more please :) ) combat looks improved and I can't wait till March. Hope the story provides a reasonable amount of replayability... which is my only concern. Isabella (sp) looks very well done, does she have a lip stud thing going there.

I just wish the graphics between DA:O and ME were comparable. Granted it's impossible to compare style, but the ME series is a lot cleaner, smoother, and crisper compared to DA:O.

Different environments/levels of Technology/locals, I wouldn't want them to look exactly the same anyway, personally.

I really am disappointed in the new art style. It looks so cartoonish. I loved standing on the bridge over the gorge at Ostagar. I loved taking in the view from that ruined fortress...it was beautiful. From what I've seen of DA:2 so far, it's like going to black and white TV after watching color. It seems very monochromatic and boring.

Meh. I can't believe people are actually impressed by this.

So BioWare changes the art style and look to try and make the game stand out, only to have the whole thing look like the same generic gritty brown crap that everybody else is putting out these days. Wow... that's innovation and taking the genre and universe forward, that is.

This.

In house rpg engine Vs Unreal fps engine that has been evolving for over a decade (I just wish ME2 had a lot more rpg), but I do agree: great story with great game mechanic and animations, deserve great music with stunning graphics :) At least we have come a long long way since the NWN level :P

Wasn't really impressed at all by this trailer. The fact that the pirate lady was revealed as Isabella is also unsettling. She was a total **** in Origins, a disgusting, ugly, filthy pig. Why would she become a companion or major character?

Bioware I have a question for you - will the Templars ever get any love? Our Templar companion in DAO hated the Order, siding with the Templars in the Circle questline is essentially considered evil, and they are portrayed as zealous murderers in that Penny Arcade web-comic a while back.

Can we at least side with the Templars in DA2? You know, in a way that isn't a complete ****** move on Hawke's part?
