Much older? The 10 year game span starts off at Lothering's destruction, so she wouldn't have to look 10 years different if she is in the story from an early to mid stage. Also am curious as to how you think she should look 10 years older than Hawke seeing as though we don't have any confirmation of either her or his real age and on top of that there is the fact that even if she was supposed to be older, she could still look youthful in comparison to someone else of her age.

As for her looking different, I would say the only real area that stands out are her cheeks, the rest looks pretty much the same but with added bandana and jewellry. So to some extent you are right, she does look different and time can do that to people.

Anyone trying to comment on her 'body' being different obviously is forgetting that a lot of the females/males had the same default 'model' for their body below the neck. So can't really try and say they look different, because if the new engine allows for more diversity then I think the change is a good thing.

I really want to like DA II but so many changes that didn't need to be made. I have a feeling I'm not going to enjoy the mainstream hack n slash console combat they implemented but I'm sure I can fight through it if the story is worth it. I have never really enjoyed the combat in ME but I can ignore bc of the characters and storyline.

I'm still trying to keep high hopes. Probably preorder it soon and just wait for more news.

Very nice. Might even have to play male Hawke first just so I can romance gypsy swashbuckler Isabella (though, I don't recall her being too, er, traditionally gender normed in DA1, so maybe not.)

Hawke looks great as well. Cassandra at the beginning looks (and sounds) awesome too. I'm saddened that she's probably not a companion.

Taking a wait and see approach, but my impressions from the trailer were not good ones, honestly. It looks to be more combat and less story. I'll wait and see. Bioware has not really disappointed me yet - but I'd love to see some story in a trailer and less combat just to get an impression of Hawke as a character as the day of release approaches.

What I personally would love to see - but know I won't - is the female version of Hawke before release. I'm given to understand that Bioware created separate animations for the different genders to make them more visually acceptable - rather than the "man-strut".

In Mass Effect, you have the phenomenal voice of Jennifer Hale, while Mark Meer voices the "official" version. I hope that the alternate Hawke is voiced just as exceptionally. Does anyone know who the cast is beyond Kate Mulgrew?

I have to say I think that Isabella is not good looking. I'm taking that CG, engine and wallpaper render into account. What wonders me is that there are few NPC characters in BW games that I find attractive (I mean the physiognomy).

She looks better in DA II than she does in DA . She looks horrible as if some punched her face in.

Why can't the marketing team use the epic chorus music (the on that plays at the end of the trailer) opposed to the unoriginal metal theme we've had since Origins?

The chorus music is a much better fit for a fantasy game.
