I know Blizzard has a bottomless money pit to draw from, and yes graphics aren't the most important thing, but I'm just being honest when I say DA looks graphically more impressive than DA2 right now. They have 5 months to go so maybe things will improve.
I'd agree completely. DA2 doesn't look bad but I don't see any improvement over how Origins looked on the PC and in some cases, the textures and such look pretty bad in those DA2 screens from today-
Like the armor on the guy in the foreground or ground itself here and how it all looks sort of washed out:
Maybe thats better than what the console version had for Origins but definitely not the PC.
I think the use of color is just off. The blues in particular.

Been looking at the trailer, anyone else think that the Dragon's face is a bit diffrent?
Different compared to previous DA2 material, or DAO? Compared to DAO, yeah, it's got that rhino horn in the middle now.

I'm not sure how one can even begin to compare the graphics in DAII vs. the graphics in Diablo III considering the world of difference in style, camera perspective, and goals.
Generally speaking, Blizz's art style is more stylized than realism in all its franchises: Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo. Though I will give them something for their use of freaking color. StarCraft and SC2 go to some pretty bleak places and some pretty nightmare fuelly stuff, and hey, it's not all brown! But that's a different soapbox of mine.
Though so far, the character models for the metagame in SC2 (not the little unit models) look pretty gosh darned good. Certainly superior to the models from DA:O, probably on par with the ME2 models or even a little better. At very least, Blizz's characters don't look like they have plastic skin.

Diablo's focus is much more on graphics, so that's natural. If that is your focus, of course today's trailer would disapoint you. But after playing DAO most folks already know what DA2's priorities are, hmmmm?;)
I've played Warcraft, SC2, D1 and D2. These games focus on gameplay above all else. However, I don't think you and I will ever agree on anything so we'll just leave that issue alone.

It's a lot different. looks better imo, but somewhat insectoid.
I have to say, there's no lack of big boobs and exploding bodies. I like those parts of the video
Isabela looks good, although completely different.

The thing that bugs me is the way the nose seems to hook downwards.

I am sure DA2 would look fantastic if Bioware spent 10 years on their games as Blizzard doesRinpocheSchnozberry wrote...

Also is that Isabela supposed to be the Isabela I thinks she's supposed to be?
Oh man I swore I wouldn't learn anything about the game so as not to spoil it for myself, I need to stop reading the DA2 forums. Lol!
Anyway, I'm excited for the game!
Oh man and all I have to say is Varric looks AWESOME!

Well I for one do not regret pre-ordering the day after the signature edition was announced. Thank you Bioware.
I have such a strange feeling that i might regret it, i just don´t know...it looks so...different. and i dislike some of the new designs (darkspawn...). I hope they make the story and characters interesting, and combat...fast and tactial? I have some doubts. Oh well, still 5 months then i will know.

If I'm not mistaken, that is Carver, and that is Kirkwall.

Okay, so does this prove that Carver can survive the flight from Lothering?
It also might prove that both Carver and Bethany can survive (some people were suggesting that you'd have to choose between them or something).

I noticed that too. What I want to know is what leads to what outcome. The descriptions of the demo I've heard, it the death happens in a cutscene so I'm not sure how we influence it. Should be interesting. For all we know (if that footage is misleading) neither Bethany nor Carver or long-term companions.

Don't know about the PC but compared to the xbox-360 these are a decided improvement.
Have to say; still not really a fan of the new darkspawn, though thats probably just the grunts but hopely they get more variety in armor and facial appearance. Would have preferred the awakening appearance more. The new look comes off more "cartoony" to me but that might just be me.
Though since they aren't supposed to play a big part in the new game, I think, than I suppose it doesn't matter "that" much.
Throw me in as one of the guys whose cool with the quicker combat.
