Why is Cassandra so interested in digging out information and the truth about Hawke in the first place?
She probably posts on these forums.
Hah. good one.

on a serious note, failing a seeker's mission may earn more than a slap on the back of the hand so her eagerness to get this info may be tied to that

Yeah I mean, she seems real serious and intimidating when speaking to Varric.

That's true, but Varric doesn't seem to be too afraid of her. Plus, he's sitting down and she's standing, so that seems to imply she came to him. If he was brought to her, there would be guards and they would both be standing... I would think anyways.
Maybe Varric is just being bold in the face of death?

Cancelling pre-order, it's not what I want but I can see it doing well none the less. Good Luck Bioware, and first person who says "KTHANXBYE" gets a cookie!

Brushing story aside, the trailer was indeed technically impressive in my view. I'm a little worried about what kind of PC specs you'd need to run it at that level though.

?? In some incarnations they are mixed up with the ideas of pixies and fairies, but there has always been a current of depicting them as powerful, beautiful beings, going back to Norse mythology. Tolkien didn't make that up.simfamSP wrote...
Tolkien's works have been the main source of insperation for many themes of fantasy. Infact before Tolkien the elves were little gonme like creatures with green hats and magic fairy dust, I can just imagine how dwarves were like before Tolkien too.

Just simply stating my opinion, how's that different from the people who said they are excited for it? I'm not saying the game sucks or that it's doomed it's just I can see their trying to focus on making combat exciting and cutscenes more cinematic which is good but just something that I didn't want. I have every faith in bioware that this game will be a success, with or without my pre-order lol.grillzzzzzzzzzz wrote...

Whats wrong with doing that if they keep the strong story and tactical aspects of combat?Befit wrote...

Well, everything for the most part looks better than what was seen before. Altough I see from the vid that Hawke occasionally wields his giant sword (which looks to reach two-thirds of his body height) effortlessly with one hand... is it really necessary to have this cliche? I mean I don't see anyone in particularly going "Oooh. It utterly denies common sensibility and proportional laws; I got to get this game now!"
Nothing, just something that I don't want. It's all opinion, I'm sure they have an amazing story but just certain features turn me off but those features can be a plus for many more people. Just my personal opinion but no matter how great the story I never really feel connected when a character does their own thing in cinematics. Which is fine if the character is not supposed to be mine (master chief, Kratos, John Marston, etc.) but if I'm supposed to create their personality and look I want to have control over him. But in cinematics in order to create a more thrilling they gotta control what each character does which is great but not my cup of tea. Feels like I'm watching a movie instead of playing a game. But this is all just my opinionMorroian wrote...
