Poor poor Isabela. She appears to be suffering from a case of Miranda face.

I don't care what she looks like, as long as she can fight. Priorities, gentlemen. Not everyone's gonna look like your Porn Barbie ideal. ;)

They had the right idea but this time they missed the target by about 3ft!

"Miranda face" was uncanny valley. I don't see uncanny valley here.

Ah, if this is true...I was looking forward to Isabela the new gypsy-ish character. Now I'm not so sure.

Wait, when the first trailer hit, who ever said this woman was Isabela?

Did it leak?

Personally, I think her face is too round.

I rather like Isabela as a possible companion. Even for such a small part as she had in DAO for nothing more than handing out a Specialization, the foundation for her personality was laid out very nicely, and I kept hoping she would eventually end up as a companion on my first run through the game. I'm looking forward to how well she plays out in DA II.

I really like her look. Part of the face weirdness might be the angle but what do I know. I am also in love with her boots.

Looks like two people are already set to be in my party once available.

It's because he mouth is really small, throws of the face size.

I think Malcolm Cousland from the Sacred Ashes trailer had that same problem.

Generally speaking, I don't care that Isabela is a sexually liberated individual. The only thing that bothers me is that she looks absolutely nothing like the Isabela she's allegedly supposed to be. However, I'm just going to make it my own personal head canon that she underwent a magical plastic surgery procedure and leave it at that. :P

Why do I get the feeling that companions will have only 1 or 2 unique outfits a la Mass Effect 2? This stemmed from the talk about pants. So can a female rogue PC dress the same way as Isabela?

Yeah, this is what I fear too. Hopefully it is only to make them more distinct in the trailers.

Also note that they've said your main route to becoming friends with particular party members if through doing stuff with them, rather than through conversation options. Seems a lot like ME2 to me.

Well, they did change the art style in general, and have said that it will affect the look of things beyond just the darkspawn (which is what everyone's been talking about).

Ditto. Though it's not really a big deal. Just a bit jarring. Definitely some suspension of disbelief.

yea but it's like they don't look anything like each other.

Hair style changes a lot the way a character looks. The close up however looks like they pushed the chin height slide to the far side.

Personally, I'm glad that Isabela is returning; I'm a sucker for tie-ins to previous material. I never hopped in the sack with her, mind, but I did like her in Origins; she was interesting, strong. I like female characters who are capable individuals. I hope that she's a romance option for females as well as males, because I know I'll probably choose to romance her, at least once. ;)

And all this talk of her being ugly . . . well, I suppose I just don't get it. Victoria Secret models are much too generic; I like her a lot, more than I thought I would, definitely. I think she's extremely attractive.

But, ah well. It's already be said again and again in this thread that beauty is subjective, so that's just my opinion. ^_^

Glad to hear it's Isabela, and I like the way she looks. Can't wait to learn more about her (in DA:O we only scratched the surface).

Not only that, though. Some wardens went quite deep. :innocent:

Concept models for "New Art direction" Morrigan in DA2.

Devs: We already thought Morrigan looked Italian, so we went full with it. Also the Sun in the game ws much too bright to tell how she really looks, so you can sleep well on that.

It's useless to follow stuff on this site periodically. Just check in once a month or wait till the game comes out. Finding out about stuff will only just make you super happy or fantastically sad at the changes.
