I don't know since they are quite realistic for the most part -- both the concept art and the cgi models do have pretty regular human proportions. It just seems the in-game models aren't living up to these designs even though there's technically nothing preventing them from it. If it's conscious decision rather than just oversight, then this particular angle they picked fails to work for me personally, as i noted.Addai67 wrote...
I thought the point with the design on DA2 was to be intentionally "arty" and not realistic?
Agreed.
Its like the art style/character design is sort of in a weird place if the faces are supposed to look the way they do. Its not completely, obviously "arty," like a cel shaded game like the Prince of Persia game from 2008, but its seemingly not trying to go for realism like Origins seemed to have been doing. And yet things look *mostly* like they're still trying to be realistic in DA2.
The result that we're seeing in the trailer is just kind of odd and IMO, is a step back from Origins.

I posted a pic changing the original femhawke pic because I thought she as well had too large of a jawline along with other features I didn't find the most appealing..

Again, I'll say what always is said, beauty is subjective and the femhawke on the right is my ideal of beauty within the confines of a preexisting design.. *shrugs* I'm not worried in the least, as long as we get a toolkit for DA2...

Well I can say if you grab the PC version there will be mods galore (if they release the toolkit.. you better Bioware!!! *shakes fist*) for differing looks etc, don't like how Isabela looks? Change her in the toolkit, same for all characters.

The difference between these two is that... one is Fat! What's with BW and Plus sized models? Are they trying to rob Arcania their title of Ugliest Women Ever in a Video Game category? Are their fat wives too jealous to let them design pretty woman with normal proportion?
PS.: If I wanted ugly women in videogames I'd send my Zerg Queen to be a CGI model! - "it's been a long time since I smelled beautiful! (Richard B. Riddick)

It's obviously because they're trying to turn you gay.
Isabela is overbearing for a reason you know. <_<

I was just thinking of politely asking Stanley Woo to allow a positive Isabela support thread to be created.
The "Internet Male" quotient is way too high in this thread to bring it back to constructive discussion.

Alas, that is too much to be asked on a game forum, the Internet overall.
EDIT: I like the Lady Hawke revamp, but I think the first image might have a bad angle that accentuates the jaw.

I, for one, am glad she doesn't look like the Blur trailer edition in the game. Blur trailer looked like my mother when she was young. Kinda creeptastic xD
Well, a lot of people here wanted to romance Bethany...I'd imagine romancing your sister isn't a far cry from your mom.
