Isabela? Really?

I don't see how it's more strange than movies casting new actors for the same character (haven't we had like a dozen different James Bond?). Or any more annoying than reusing voice actors for several characters, which can kind of bother you a little bit, but not that much. If anything, this is even less annoying, since you'll probably get used to the new appearance.

Shape of face is nearly right, except there is no bulbous eyes this time round.
However original Isabela and DA2 Isabela are not the same.
Jawline seems to have expanded, new melon forehead seems evident, a slightly darker skin colour.
If it was the same skin colour as Zevran then it has since gone a touch darker toned.
It would seem as if they used the 'Destiny' cinematic Isabela for the EA picture.
Maybe they should get one of the Blur character modellers to come fix Isabela? hmm..?

I always felt like there could be so much more in that character than just being someone you can learn Dueling from and seeing her return is not that surprising but still incredibly awesome.
I don't like her Prince of Persia look though.

Isabela looks gorgeous. The only thing I would change about her is her mouth. It's sort of... small. And high up on her face. I did a little shop to see what she'd look like with a wider mouth that's a bit farther down.
Yep. Still hot. I don't see the problem. *crosses fingers for F/F LI*
Much better. Bioware makes this modification, and I'm sold on the character.

I know I was always there to criticise the would-be Bethany romancers, but why does the baby sister look better than what appears to be the "primary" love interest (or any love interest, for that part)?
Maybe it's like one of those game shows that rub it in by showing you what you could have won.

OK maybe I should rephrase post op transsexual to woman with a mans jaw. That way I won't offend any segment of society by comparing them to a CGI character.
No, you offend them by using them as a synonym for unfeminine, manly, undesireable, ugly, unnatural woody-killers.
Or did I misunderstand you?

Oghren, Leliana and now Isabela... the writers obviously like all the NPCs I could care less to see again.

Well if you want to get into it then the a lot of them are unfeminine and look a little manly, I'm afraid that's a side affect of once being a man, that's not really an insult, just a statement of fact, like dwarfs are short. I made no statements about them being ugly, unatural or undesireable in the wider context as those things are down to indivudual tastes, if you have taken offence to me finding this 100% fictional character manly and unnatrative then I'm afraid I can't help you.
I'm not the only person to comment on her manly look.

I suspected it was Isabela in the 1st trailer. Female Rivaini pirate etc.

I thought she was fun, and her appearance/interaction from DA:O piqued my interest enough to be excited about her as a companion for DA:2. Your mileage may vary, of course.

Now looks like a character from Final Fantasy X-XIII.
Entirely new character.
Continuity is not a dirty word BioWare.
