Why is that the best piece of Sovereign? Doesn't seem that much of a big deal to me, the turians had no problem salvaging what they needed.

It's clearly an intact Reaper. The thing is just at an angle. You can see the curve at the top that Reapers have. I'm pretty sure it's just a freeze frame of Soveriegn landing on the Citadel Tower from the first game with editing done to the backround and lighting.



We're looking into this way too much. I do believe the picture of it means something though.

It's intact. I think that red/black thing is the Citadel tower. The top most part of the tower from the upper image and that red/black thing on the bottom right of the lower image look almost identical. You can even see the front most "arm" of Sovereign touching the red/black thing.

The only thing I can think of that could incriminate the Alliance is withholding information about Sovereign's true purpose.

I think we could be reading too much into this. Its a memory of Soverign from the attack on the Citadel. It could be Keiji's own memory.



Also if it flashes up the second the box is open its not exactly well hidden and surely Kasumi would have commented on it (considering she is joining Shepard to battle the reapers)

Given that the Council publicly declared that Sovereign is just some prototype Geth construct and given that the Turian's have already reverse engineered some of sovvie's tech, I don't really see any controversial shenanigans going on unless it was potentially studying 'Geth AI technology' but AI tech isn't some mystical force, the principles (even the Geth version) is understood.



Unless of course the Alliance hasn't 'come forward' about their capturing of some samples; but I would doubt that any revelation of this would be enough to shatter their standing within the galactic community... even with humanity's already somewhat tenuous positioning.

As I said, it seems to be the best chunk of Sovereign. And there may be a lot more potential tech advancements than just EDI.

And maybe Okuda was exaggerating the probability of a war breaking out over it. How was he supposed to know about the Thannix, or the Reapers and all that stuff? He was just a guy that got over his head, and one thing he got right: it's definitely a secret worth a few people lives.

Looking at those pics I never really thought there showed a Reaper even in the first thread on this. What does intrigue me is the war question. What would be cause enough to go to war. Well what is the lobster looking one is a picture of the Leviathon of Dis which the Batarians have got? Perhaps even go so far as to say that is a part of their research on it? With the threat of the Reapers desperate measures might be called for including going to war to get access to that research IF it meant your species would survive.

It's a freeze frame of soveriegn latching onto Citadel tower.  The bottom right is the tip of the tower.  Watch the scene again in ME1 when he grabs the tower when the arms are closing.  They just blacked out the backround and changed the lighting.    The "abdominal" is facing away from us.  The other parts sticking out the sides are it's other legs... tentacles, which ever you prefer, stretching out.

Then explain the objects in Regions 1 & 2, why the abdominal part is "facing away" instead of being in Region 3, and why Region 4 is glowing like hell?

And why is there only 1 big front tentacle/claw. Where are the remaining 5?
