Chaotic neutral as always, 'cause that's where all the fun is. Well atleast that's for my canon playthrough, and then of course I'll have to run through as a baby kicking, pregnant lady punting, destroyer of worlds, and of course the guy who helps old ladies cross the street.

If I play DA 2 and if I have to catagorize him or her to an alignment, it will likely be true neutral. I tend to settle on a look, class then personality for the PC. Since the PC is voiced, I might be restricted though in how far I can roleplay the character so...it might just be a Mass Effect situation with one playthrough for canon-Hawke and another for non-canon-Hawke.

My first character in a RPG is usually some sort of neutral, then I decide to do a goody-two-shoes character or a baby-eater character after. I'm still curious to see how much freedom we're allowed in playing out a variety of character types or if it will predominantly be Hawke A or B.

My Hawke will be a little more practical and more of neutral alignment if I can help it.

My main Hawke girl will be a cold, sarcastic b*tch (with a heart of gold). This is almost a complete contrast to my main in DAO, a cousland girl who, although reserved and distant at times, was on the whole a pretty-pretty do-gooder.

My to wardens were chaotic good characters. One leaned towards chaotic neutral . . . I think I am sticking to chaotic good for my FemHawke. I tend to play the character type that does what is write, just on her terms, and is overly suspicious of authority. Family first, and with Bethany an apostate mage, well, I'd rather not sell the PC's sister out.

I tend to change certain things depending on where the character is coming from and what I'm going for. That said, I don't know enough about Hawke yet to be certain, but overall I'd say Lawful Evil like most of my characters.

Sounds like we're going for a similar vibe, my Dalish Warden was a lot like your Cousland. I can't wait to see what sort of snarky responses are available to us on the dialogue wheel.

my hawke is going to be an idealist good guy who can back his actions with his intellingence and skill in battle. always willing to give others a second chance partially because he knows that if someone betrays him...they won't succeed XD.

as for his demeanor i'll try to make him a diplomatic calm character with enough charisma to persuade and sway anyone he sees.

My character will remain neutral . I don't take any side.

BUT!

But what side  will  i pick (because i will) ..Depend of what  choice i encounter during my playthrough. If for instance some reptile worshipper ask me to sacrifice 100 templar virgin for their godess i won't accept. But if they ask me for help to defend weakling against opressor i will.

I won't take any side.i will just follow my own justice.

As Hawke is a human, I'll probably have her start out Neutral Good (I assume she was raised to be a good gal). That could change throughout the game, though.

My fave Warden was a Chaotic Neutral Dalish Elf who despised humans.

My Hawke will be a classic antihero. Ruthless, opportunistic and manipulative but not evil. More of a "survival first" type of guy that does what he has to do.

My Warden was more noble-like, lawful neutral alignment. For example he would search for proof that Loghain is corrupted instead of saying outright that he is a traitor for what he did. And he wouldn't go after Howe for revenge but for justice. He would not go against the chantry even if he knew that they are liers and power hungry, and he would accept them because his people do so, out of a sense of order. Like Wynne said, a warden is a servant of the people, and with power comes responsibility.

Generally I prefer playing characters with a dark side, not cruel enough to be evil, but not good enough to be liked by the people. Suave instead of good, Ruthless instead of evil, Seducer instead of lover. Still I felt that the origins story ultimately was the story of a hero that sacrificed his life to save his people and redeem himself in their eyes and it was not satisfying to be the bad guy.

It's hard to be lawful good when the state has fallen and you're a refugee. Everyone's out for themselves.... rash decisions are inevitable, so are the consequences.

I think my first Hawke will be a lot more determined than my warden. Unlike my first warden, that didn't have much personal stake in the blight at first, Hawk will have her family right there in danger, and will do anything to protect them. Meaning she'll leave a much larger pile of bodies in her wake than my warden.

My Warden was a warrior justifiably suspicious of magic and magi. I'm planning to play Hawke as a mage, ideally a melee blood mage, so obviously it's gonna be a whole different perspective.

My Hawke's outlook will be based on the world she grows up in. I don't know what that world is yet.

That said, why are you only asking people who are importing a save?

To compare their already established Warden character's morality with (what they assume to be) their Hawke's morality.

My Warden was your typical noble, just hero, though being a Cousland I had a vengeful streak and hard core to the personality due to Howe's actions. But overall, Lawful Neutral - Lawful Good. A little cliche, but it worked with the story of Origins, particularly given the decision I made in the end.

I definitely plan to play Hawke with a more ruthless streak. Not evil, but certainly more concerned with survival, and given the opportunity, power. A lot depends on how the story plays out, though.

My Origins characters (Noble & City Elf) had both pretty similar personality. Some what cynical beings wielding sarcastic humor but staying true to his friends and always willing to help those in need. Though both had their times when they we're driven fort with only hate and vengeance in their eyes.

I don't know how I will play the Hawke character in DA II but he will most likely have this sarcastic personality thing going on. Maybe he will be little more aggressive that my Origins characters. Impossible to say how I'm going to side in different situations (Humans/Elves Templars/Mages). Quoting Duncan: "You'll see..."
