- There's no option to register Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition on social.bioware.com/user_bw_games_register.php
- No matter what I do, I can't access my authorized DLCs, including one I purchased and played successfully prior to installing Ultimate Edition.
Today, I purchased the Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition. I had to uninstall my Steam copy (the CD didn't give me an "install" option - only "uninstall", which was irritating) and successfully installed the Ultimate Edition.
I entered the Ultimate Edition CD key when prompted and received no errors.
I accessed the social site, made sure I was logged in as me, and installed the promo code that should have given me authorized access to all the DLCs.
In the game, when I click Downloadable Content > Installed Content, every DLC is listed as (Unauthorized). I attempted to follow the instructions on the very unhelpful EA help page regarding the (Unauthorized) error but had one problem: in Windows 7, I can't figure out how to turn off the updater service as directed:
"At the command prompt, type "net stop DAUpdaterSvc" and click OK."
I did everything else, launched the game, and discovered everything was now missing from the Downloadable Content area. I restored everything to as it had been before. I've also logged out, logged back in, and rebooted a couple of times.
I've logged into my online profile, and I verified (again) that I do have access to all the DLC. I even went so far as to remove the old Steam registration code from my account. Of course, then I realized that I couldn't register Ultimate Edition, and neither DA:Origins nor DA: Origins Awakening will accept the one single CD key that came with Ultimate Edition.
I'd really like to actually play the game. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Sorry for the weird formatting.
