ive wroted pm, but now i want to start playing normally. it will be possible to turn thats dlc's in future in game? or it will need to start again, the brand new char?

solved by the EA senior support staff, by enabling the DLCs for me. Thank you guys for all the help in this thread and best of luck to all of you who are still having problems.

So after spending hours trying to sort this **** out last night, I finally get onto the EA Live Chat. The guy I spoke to gave me a bunch of DLC codes to enter and I finally managed to get EVERYTHING from the Ultimate Edition working. I played for a few hours, then went to bed. Woke up today and tried playing again ... what do I see?

THIS CONTENT IS UNAUTHORISED.

Now I can't even load my save games! I've tried EVERYTHING on these pages ( http://social.biowar...8/index/5151520 and http://social.biowar...58/index/759141 ) and nothing works!

1. Playing while logged out? Nope. Still set to unauthorised.
2. Reinstalling the DAUpdate service? Nope. Still set to unauthorised.
3. Manually starting the DAUpdate service? Nope. Still set to unauthorised.
4. PM Fernando? Nope. He ignores me.


This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!   I tell you this for free; you see if I EVER buy another BioWare game again. EVER. You will never see a penny from me, not after this.   This kind of intrusive BULL**** is the very reason why piracy is so high on the PC;  because legitimate gamers can't afford to take the risk on buying broken, buggy, non-functional TRASH.

Do you ever hear pirates complaining about DRM or copy protection measures? Nope!  You know why?  Because it doesn't affect them!  It only affects LEGITIMATE gamers.   Jolly good show!


*sigh*  I apologise for my harsh tone, but really... this kind of stuff is just unacceptable.  I might as well have just saved money by not getting the Ultimate Edition.

Well its been around 24 hours when i send a support request to the EA so i decided to contact support via Live chat and oh boy... after long talk and few pointless questions i managed to get like 1/4 of DLC's that i should have ... it made me so confused and mad that i have no words... Then i told the support guy that he gave me less then half of the DLC's and he was like "Ohh sorry it's all the DLC's i can activate for you". Then told me to go the Bioware forums. I am so confused and irritated now i have no idea whom should i contact to get my game fixed the way it should work ... ?

If you have sent Melo a PM just have a little patience, it's weekend so he may not be around here or may not be able to help you. He has solved this for many of us, if you have the game registered he surely will do it for you too as soon as he can.

Yeah i will wait not too big of a deal i understand its a weekend but it sad that EA support can't or does not want to help . Support guy just gave me bunch or randoms DLC's like Pre order DLC and Collectors edition DLC i am not even sure if am suposed to have them and what will happen if dont .

And now all of sudden i can't load my saved game because i have unauthorized premium content despite the fact that i have played fine just 5 minutes ago ... And the most ridiculous thing is that the Premium content listed that i don't have was added by EA support and was working fine like i said 5 minutes ago and shows on my  promotions page :?

I have the same problem with my DAO Ultimate Edition, downloaded from EA Store. Sent mail to EA support, sent PM to Fernando Melo, to no avail so far. EA Live Chat doesn't seem to work properly for some reason.

Yeah, same problem here. No answer from EA Support or F. Melo. And answers from live-chat guys: "In order to assist you in correct manner I am forwarding your issue to next level of CSRs for further review. They will get back to you as soon as possible through email. Is that okay with you?" Three days ago...

Why BioWare/EA do nothing with this? Patch? Update EADM? Registry fix? Anything!

It seems that Fernando Melo haven't been online for around 4 days so there is still hope. EA support haven't replied to my email that i sent 5 days ago when they state they will reply within 24 hours and EA live support proved to be useless.

P.S. You can use this workaround to enable all the DLC's you have but my saved game got corrupted for some reason so use it at your own risk.

Find your addins.xml file. Mine was located at [ C:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Users \\\\\\\\
(your name or user) \\\\\\\\ MyDocuments\\\\\\\\ Bioware \\\\\\\\ Dragon Age \\\\\\\\
Settings ]

2. Use "Word pad" to open the the xml file

3. Then change every RequiredAuthorization = "1" to RequiredAuthorization = "0"
(I used ctrl-f to search for every RequiredAuthorization)

(FOR STEAM USERS, WIN 7)

So thanks for nothing BioWare, EA and Steam. After digging and looking (and looking and tweaking and digging) I finally fixed the unauthorized content issue on my own. I have seen peices of this in the different forums, so those of you with little hair left like me should know exactly what I am talking about.

First, make sure you have entered the CD key and the BioWare site shows all the DLC is authorized to you.

Next, you need to go to C: > Program Files > Steam > steamapps > common > dragon age ultimate edition > bin_ship

In there you will find DAUpdater (I know you have seen this mentioned, as I did, before). Run this file. It will open and ask you to go looking for DAZIPs. The one you want is located Here:

C: . ProgramData > BioWare > Dragon Age > DAUpdater > Data

Browse to it and open it in the Updater app. It will run and install really fast. Then reopen the game and log into your account. It will think for a minute and presto. Please let me know if this helped you. I was about ready to organize a torch wielding mob and march on BioWare... or Steam..... or EA.

Okay i really have no idea what to do now i just checked my EA support ticket that i opened who knows how many days ago now and it's  "Updated by EA" and when i open it it's just my request for support without any response form EA i even didn't get any email notification about this . I presume i have only one option left as i made a purchase through paypal i may be forced to dispute but before that i will wait till friday then i will for the last time contact EA suport via live chat to get it sorted out because there are no words to describe how poor and unresponsive is EA and BioWare regarding this issue.

the same with me, I bought the box, not online on EA store, it come two separated codes, one for the game and one other for the expantion, registered both, but seens it wasn't sync yet, so I can play the full containt...

there were someone else that did it and managed to play the full episodes (DLC)

Wow after reading all the QQing on this forum and all the epic fails people said there haveing it killed 1 hour of reading i reload ultimate edition with all content authorised, saved file still there, and even awakening ready for me once i complete origins hooray for luckiness to bad if this poop somehow goes bad il have to read everyones posts again!
