I downloaded Dragon age UE from ea store and it didnt come with redeem codes, so it tried to get them via live chat, agent send me one, and it turned out to be a product key.

Is there really no solution for this problem? I dont HAVE redeem code, so i CANT authorize the dlc content, i REALLY want to have something in exchange for the money i GAVE to ea/bioware.

I did send Email to EA about week ago, no answer!

Hmmm, I too downloaded this from the EA store, and surprise, surprise, all the DLC is there but not authorised. So after trying couple of things from the EA tech support page and the dlc vanishing, I tried re-installing, still the same. I've had a couple of replies from EA, the last was to apply the latest patch. I have now tried this and just get an error saying that the installation is corrupt and to try a fresh install.

I only bougt this version as PS3 owners got shafted on the price of awakenings in the UK.

I wonder if the EA Store issue is not very similar to the issue I had buying the game from Steam? If you can find the updater and then find the file it wants, you might be fine.

It seems that Fernando Melo haven't been online for around 4 days so there is still hope. EA support haven't replied to my email that i sent 5 days ago when they state they will reply within 24 hours and EA live support proved to be useless.

P.S. You can use this workaround to enable all the DLC's you have but my saved game got corrupted for some reason so use it at your own risk.

Hey for the guys that downloaded from EA store. I think I found how to fix the "unauthorized" problem.

(Windows 7)
1.
Find your addins.xml file. Mine was located at [ C:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Users \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
(your name or user) \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ MyDocuments\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Bioware \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Dragon Age \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Settings ]

2. Use "Word pad" to open the the xml file

3. Then change every RequiredAuthorization = "1" to RequiredAuthorization = "0"
(I used ctrl-f to search for every RequiredAuthorization)

Hope this helps!! :-)

This worked for me, I have the box for Ultimate Edition, that comes with the code for all DLCs, and when you install it, it shows all packages already.
Thanks Dude.

I'm in the same boat. Bought ultimate edition yesterday for the ea store but didn't get any extra code for the dlcs+extras for ultimate edition. My http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php is completely empty even though I have Ultimate edition registered. Have e-mailed ea support so waiting to hear back.

This also worked for me, finally the content is there in game and authorised. Afraid to try patching it now though just in case I have to re-install the damn thing.

Well that's a workaround, I'd rather simply get my promocode afterall. It'll have to do until I get a message back from EA store.

what also could help is to first manualy start the service, dragon age content uploader(run->services.msc) and after that the game(works for me:)

Had same issue, DLC were unauthorized. I restarted the content updater in services.msc and it kinda fixed it. Using Windows 7 home 64 bit, if that counts

Yep thanks tried that, but didn't work. Just missing the DLC code I guess like many people in Europe. But I got the reply today from the EA store Netherlands and they asked me to send the initial buy confirmation-mail and asked what DLC I was missing. In my reply I also tried to explain this problem more clearly so hopefully they fix this for everyone else who will buy it in the future.

After reading all the posts in this thread yesterday, much thread hopping, and 4 rounds of mailing with eastore here is what I figured out. There are  2 separate problems being discussed - I had the first one, so Im writing primarily about that.

Problem first - buying the game from EASTORE if in Europe, or not entering DLC promo code if buying box:
1) Editing addins.xml does not work if you don't have DLC registered on social.bioware.com
2) To get the DLC registered on social.bioware.com, you need 16 digit promo code
3) You get the code in the box, or (if buying from EASTORE outside of Europe ) in 2nd mail you receive from EASTORE after buying.
4) EASTORE did not send the second mail to at least some customers in Europe
5) EASTORE customer support will add missing DLC directly to bioware acount, if you ask them to.
To make sure everything is woring properly on EA/Bioware side, while logged into bioware site , check http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php

If DLC is properly registered, you should see a list of all DLC there

Problem second:
insufficient permissions for updater service, or problem with updater not restarting, or not logging into bioware from the game
- seems this can be solved with some variant of partiall or full uninstall

Hope this saves someone an hour of two...Image IPB

Hello all.

I too bought the game through EA Store and also did not receive the second email with the dlc codes.
I solved the problem easily through the EA live chat support, they just asked for my email address and order number and a few minutes later they gave me all the dlc codes to redeem at the bioware site.

Hope this helps!

Contacted EA support again via Live chat and this time the support representative by name Russell was very helpful provided me all the DLC codes i needed . I encourage contacting EA support through live chat as as many times until you get all the DLC's activated.

I changed the registry entry for the directory of where my updater is located. That fixed it good. I'm not going to even think about preordering a deluxe version of DA2 now though. What if it's even HARDER to authenticate my DC??

Apologies for those that pm'd me - I've been away the last few weeks due to a new addition to the family coming in unexpected early. I've now responded back to everyone that pm'd me, so if you're still having any issues please let me know (and check your inboxes here on the site).

I've got a variant of this problem- bought the UE box, started a campaign and then only added the DLC a bit through my game. It worked fine the first time. It all downloaded, the game gave me the Blood Dragon Armour, unlocked the extra quests in-game blah blah.

However having tried to play again now, it won't recognise that my account is entitled to all the DLC. It won't even let me resume my save game because it claims my account does not have access/authorization. All the extra contnet is now downloaded and did work but has now reverted back to being unauthorized.

Really don;t want to lose my current save game, any ideas. Have tried restarting...man if I knew I was gonna have these issues, I wouldn't have got the DLC.

Edit: Fixed it, will leave a quick guide here for others- registered the game (nothing happened), made DA:O and Updated run in admin mode (nothing happened), changed all Required Authorizations = 1 (nothing happened, so changed it back), renamed my profile.dap file and made it generate a new one = problem fixed!!Image IPB

I bought my Ultimate Edition (PC) from EA Store and just installed and registered the game here but I received no code for the DLC, just the install key. I already run the the game and logged in. nothing. I checked all my e-mail's folder and no sign of the code. Did I forget to do anything?

If I did all I could, who should I contact to get the code for the DLC?

Bought the box, because **** download.
Installed game, redeemed, downloaded the DLC (not necessary, i guess), logged in, got message "unauthorized" for all my DLC. Re-login and Reinstall did nothing, still looking for solution. Wasted a whole day so far, instead of having played the game. Sorry can not make a constructive comment, because im so pissed right now. These modern distribution habits make me want to punch a baby.

Update: Got it working with this, finally:

Good luck to all u guys

Another update:

Sorry had the wrong link posted. This is the right one

I managed to find out what my problem was. go for the forum entry (search for "unauthorized") or do the following:
open execute (WINDOWS key+R) before starting the game. type in "services.msc" then search for "Dragon Age: Origins content update" (dont know if the processes name is correct because I use the german version) and start that process manually. launch the game. Your content now may hopefully be authorized. good luck!
