Is there really no solution for this problem? I dont HAVE redeem code, so i CANT authorize the dlc content, i REALLY want to have something in exchange for the money i GAVE to ea/bioware.
I did send Email to EA about week ago, no answer!

It seems that Fernando Melo haven't been online for around 4 days so there is still hope. EA support haven't replied to my email that i sent 5 days ago when they state they will reply within 24 hours and EA live support proved to be useless.
P.S. You can use this workaround to enable all the DLC's you have but my saved game got corrupted for some reason so use it at your own risk.jhoang3 wrote...
Hey for the guys that downloaded from EA store. I think I found how to fix the "unauthorized" problem.
(Windows 7)
1.
Find your addins.xml file. Mine was located at [ C:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Users \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
(your name or user) \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ MyDocuments\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Bioware \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Dragon Age \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Settings ]
2. Use "Word pad" to open the the xml file
3. Then change every RequiredAuthorization = "1" to RequiredAuthorization = "0"
(I used ctrl-f to search for every RequiredAuthorization)
Hope this helps!! :-)
This worked for me, I have the box for Ultimate Edition, that comes with the code for all DLCs, and when you install it, it shows all packages already.
Thanks Dude.

This also worked for me, finally the content is there in game and authorised. Afraid to try patching it now though just in case I have to re-install the damn thing.

Problem first - buying the game from EASTORE if in Europe, or not entering DLC promo code if buying box:
1) Editing addins.xml does not work if you don't have DLC registered on social.bioware.com
2) To get the DLC registered on social.bioware.com, you need 16 digit promo code
3) You get the code in the box, or (if buying from EASTORE outside of Europe ) in 2nd mail you receive from EASTORE after buying.
4) EASTORE did not send the second mail to at least some customers in Europe
5) EASTORE customer support will add missing DLC directly to bioware acount, if you ask them to.
To make sure everything is woring properly on EA/Bioware side, while logged into bioware site , check http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php
If DLC is properly registered, you should see a list of all DLC there
Problem second:
insufficient permissions for updater service, or problem with updater not restarting, or not logging into bioware from the game
- seems this can be solved with some variant of partiall or full uninstall
Hope this saves someone an hour of two...

I too bought the game through EA Store and also did not receive the second email with the dlc codes.
I solved the problem easily through the EA live chat support, they just asked for my email address and order number and a few minutes later they gave me all the dlc codes to redeem at the bioware site.
Hope this helps!

However having tried to play again now, it won't recognise that my account is entitled to all the DLC. It won't even let me resume my save game because it claims my account does not have access/authorization. All the extra contnet is now downloaded and did work but has now reverted back to being unauthorized.
Really don;t want to lose my current save game, any ideas. Have tried restarting...man if I knew I was gonna have these issues, I wouldn't have got the DLC.
Edit: Fixed it, will leave a quick guide here for others- registered the game (nothing happened), made DA:O and Updated run in admin mode (nothing happened), changed all Required Authorizations = 1 (nothing happened, so changed it back), renamed my profile.dap file and made it generate a new one = problem fixed!!

Installed game, redeemed, downloaded the DLC (not necessary, i guess), logged in, got message "unauthorized" for all my DLC. Re-login and Reinstall did nothing, still looking for solution. Wasted a whole day so far, instead of having played the game. Sorry can not make a constructive comment, because im so pissed right now. These modern distribution habits make me want to punch a baby.
Update: Got it working with this, finally:

open execute (WINDOWS key+R) before starting the game. type in "services.msc" then search for "Dragon Age: Origins content update" (dont know if the processes name is correct because I use the german version) and start that process manually. launch the game. Your content now may hopefully be authorized. good luck!
