It seems Cassandra is Evil Lyn who had short white hair. HMMMM. Masters of the Universe nerds anyone?
I thought of Zealot.

And I'm surprised she wants to fix the world given how severe she looks. I thought for sure she wanted Hawke so she could either exploit or destroy him/her.

You know, I'm a big fan of both short hair and white hair, but I just don't think it looks right on Cass. I loved the way her hair looked before (in that middle image in skuld's post). Other than that I LOVE the way she looks, and sounds.

She works for the Chantry. Contrary to 99% of the posters here, the Chantry is actually good.

What makes you think these two goals are mutually exclusive?Anarya wrote...

Of course she looks severe. Fixing the world is SRS BSNS, after all.

I think it's good for her to have a distinctive feature. Though possibly it would look better if it was whiter - an unnaturally bright white even - because currently it looks old. Or if she's supposed to be old, then her face needs to look older.

Hmm... comparing the white to the black hair in the pictures above... the former looks far more fierce and intimidating than the latter. Maybe it's the contrasts but she looks far more threatening... then again could be the expression as well. What makes you think these two goals are mutually exclusive?Anarya wrote...

Hum. That's a good point. I suppose we don't know what "saving the world" entails, from her perspective. It's just that her character design uses so many things that traditionally read as "villain". Interesting!

Heh... I just noticed something. Look at Cassandra's eyebrows. They're black...
Yes, this gives her an odd look. I liked the previous one better, but there'll probably be more changes.

Probably, the trailer shows her 10 years after, hence the white hair? Then in the concept art is how she looked like 10 years earlier?
Just speculating though.
So, she kept on interrogating Varric for ten years? While he went on adventures?
Damn.

If that's true then we could see the same effect in other characters. That's interesting

Cassandra now has a more proper military-style haircut I'd expect from a para-military intelligence arm of the Chantry. That and she gives me a Genivive vibe from The Calling.

What does "proper" later XX-th century military haircut have to do with a medieval-inspired fantasy world warrior-monk?

Agreed - I think that's the main problem with her new look.
