If it's consistent with the rest of their character, I'm all for it.  It would be odd if Liara wasn't kind of hesitant, odd if Ashley totally abandoned protocol, just as it would be odd if Morrigan had a puritanical attitude towards sex or if Leliana was willing to do anything to complete her assignments except sleep with people.  

And Isabela, a hedonistic pirate? You don't say!

Pardon me, but you get over yourself.  People are allowed to have different tastes in a love interest.  It doesn't mean they're "unenlightened" or God forbid sexist.  Diffferent... uh, strokes.

I've seen plenty of posts on the boards about Zevran being a man-wh*re, so let's not pretend it's all about the character being a woman.

I have personal beliefs that apply to both men and women.  There is nothing wrong with having sex in a romantic relationship, however I just don't like people who sleep around plain and simple.  If you don't find Isabella and Morrigan (AND ZEVRAN) a bit skanky then you must live in a pretty ****ed up place.  I bet many of you share my sentiments, but you are afraid to voice agreement in fear of being ostrisized by the rest of the community.

Let me put it simply.  I have no problem dating women that aren't virgins, but I find no appeal in a woman that sleeps around.  If you don't like it then I couldn't really give a rat's ass, but don't pretend like I am a bad person for having moral values and class.

I think OP's concern is valid. We haven't had much middle ground with the promiscuity of LI's in Bioware's recent games. They've either been totally easy and willing to **** you at first sight (Isabella, Morrigan), or pretty damn prudish (Miranda being an exception). I don't think it's unfair for OP to want a romance with someone who isn't willing to **** just about anyone they meet simply because they help them. I actually find a lot of comments here pretty immature in that. It's one thing to call a woman a **** for enjoying sex. It's another to call a woman a **** for jumping in bed with you after ~50 lines of dialogue. In real life, those women would call themselves ****s. -.-

Morrigan is easy, Isabela is easy. This doesn't mean they are bad characters, and it doesn't mean they are lesser people. Saying they aren't is just a blatant lie though.

Morrigan is far from being a skank, she is educated in history, magic and potions, very well articulated, she might wear one excellent cleavage and her eyes are captivating but she used to live in the wilds,she does mind about personal space as she mention the touching either bad or a handshake, she is not a virgin but she is not a skank for that.



She is however determined, passionate, mentally matured, focused on the quests her own and the warden's, she does minds the drool and leering, she wouldn't let herself be touched by zevran, and if better equiped she can wear mage's robes like the vestments of the seer covering her body, cute for being evassive, and she doesn't need to be pushed around to get things done, as well as mature IF her relationship is over. I can not say about the rest but in my point of view she is no skank, but sexy, hot and sensual...oh yeah.

The problem from my point of view isn't that people have preferences.  It's that OP said it was a theme, and cited characters as skanky who have no logical reason to be defined as such in my mind and completely ignored obvious counter-examples.  It strikes me as illogical and therefore potentially reveals some kind of agenda.

Jack didn't enjoy sex? So I assume that moaning and groaning was pain noises?  I doubt BW would've made it an option if it was akin to rape. She might've felt like **** afterwards but so do alot of people who had consensual sex when they didn't think it completely through.

Though I do see what you mean. Miranda however looked to be having sex for a very specific purpose (pregancy) and even if it was not that it wasn't like she had a ludcrious amount of partners. So calling either one of them skanks using that definition is invalid.

Also: I've never heard of on ehaving to enjoy sex to be considered a skank. They just have to have a ludcrious amount of consensual partners in relatively short amounts of time.
