Was just checking out the sites and the Diamond edition of NWN is now available at Good Old Games for $9.99.

Good chance to pick it up at a decent price (I've seen this being sold on Amazon and E-bay for some pretty funny prices)

I thought it was actually a fairly crap deal until I looked into it. It's not just SotU and HotU, it comes with Kingmaker too (Not sure if that's the 3pack or just that one module, though) which instantly makes it worth considering, even if you already have NWN.

The standard 3 pack (i.e. NWN and the first two expansions) recently got rereleased in the UK for £5, hence my trepidation.

That's a brilliant deal. I'm delighted that NWN is part of the GOG catalogue along with so many other Bioware greats. :-)

Not initially but you can get a key from GOG if needed. Here is an official statement:

"The installer uses a default CD key which won't work online. To get your own unique key, please contact us by using this support form and make sure to select "multiplayer key request" under "I have a problem with:" - it will make this task a bit easier for us. ;)"

I'm currently downloading this. I always wanted to try out the premium modules. They included 3 other titles I've never heard of too. Probably worth the $9.99, even if you do have 4 other copies of NWN. It will be nice to have one disc to install from for a change, and no DRM.

My understanding was that the GOG version does not come with the premium modules...

The GOG version comes with Kingmaker, Shadow Guard, & Witch's Wake. I haven't tried running them yet, but I assume they will work as they were included.



I did have to run the critical rebuild to get everything in order, but that could have been from old reg keys or some such. Whatever the case, it's looking good.

OMG I never thought they release it online, for a number of reason. Wow and it even cheaper then that standard 19.99 Yep this is great. Now I do not have to worry about getting it for friends to join my many adventures. wow this is a time to party

Yippee:lol: I just checked through all 27 reviews for it and so far no one has mentioned the community on here. So if you've got a gog account and can string a few words together how about writing a review pointing in the direction of these boards. We could always do with more people here.

Actually, you guys are going on parade very soon. So best get on your shiniest uniform/armor and practice drilling.

GOG is running a contest (see the sticky at the top of this forum) to celebrate the release of NWN Diamond. They are announcing this contest on GOG.com as well. And, the most important part is that they are pointing their members and members of the press towards here (these forums).

So there will be new people coming here (even if they just lurk) to see what this game is about. If the contest is a success (many entrants and visible excitement) and you guys can show off a vibrant and engaging community, you can snag plenty of them.
