While she definitely looks better than she did in Origins her nose is just way too thin. It looks permanently squeezed.

Posting in support for Isabela's new look! I think she looks way better than Origins Isabela. I think her face looks wonky in that closeup shot but much better in the other scenes, so it could possibly use some tweaking, but it's hard to tell.

I like that she has a facial piercing but I'd prefer a nose stud over a labret.

I like her outfit, think she looks like both a gypsy AND a pirate, and don't have a problem with her pantslessness. My issue is more about the flash-your-assets shots in the trailer but whatever. Can't say it's out of character or anything. And like every other lady on the forums, I'm IN LOVE WITH THOSE BOOTS GODDAMN *froths*

I didn't like her personality in Origins because she struck me as sleazy and I didn't like her VO. Please no more "jewellists" But then again, I ended up loving every single one of the companions, so who knows? She can't out-sleaze Zev. Or maybe she can...

I propose a thigh high boots thread in Off Topic.  This is just a suggestion.  :innocent:   For comparison.  And art.

I didn't get the sleazy vibe from her, oddly.  I got roguish mischif from her.  Maybe I'm just putting her in the best light since I was hoping she'd play a bigger role in DAO.

I think she might give the Hawke's a lift to Kirkwall, that or she attacks the ship your on, making you responsible.
Though I doubt it since she seems to be familiar with Hawke even before he goes to Kirkwall.

those could be possible since we don't know how further in the story hawke becomes the champion.

I wish Leliana had an improved model and was in the game instead of Isabella. Leliana > Isabella anyday . As for Isabella's new model I don't really like her in the pics but i think in-game she is going to look better than those pics. Same thing happened with Miranda in ME2. Still it's way better than origins tho, origins was just another rng face, a nobody.

I just don't associate fencing with using knives. I'm a kenshi in real life, and I couldn't imagine using knives to fight. Even using a shotsword is a serious handicap. Granted, I know the game has no corelation to real life. Just hard to get over thinking of a fencer using daggers. Never the less, I'm interested in seeing how htye impliment the whole duelist angle into her character. That is, assuming it plays a bigger role this time around.

Does anyone know if the Siren's Call always was a pirate ship?

I mean it is mentioned in DA:O that Isabella's husband was killed, but she didn't seem to care much for him. She did inherid his ship though.



Now my guess is that Isabella had an arragend marriage with him, I guess her parents where poor and he was some rich trader. So after he was killed she turned the Siren into a pirate ship.

Yes, the style doesn't exactly have to involve fencing, it's just less back-stabbing and stealthy than other kinds of rogue.

I want her to be much more than that. I trust Sheryl to make her a distinct and interesting character - although I'm definitely hoping she has her 'Leliana' hat on and not her 'Oghren' one - but the sooner Isabela can distinguish herself, rather than just being Zevran with boobs, the better.

I have my hat with kitty-ears on. What does that say?

I'm definitely aware of the fact that Isabela could easily be seen as a one-note character, and tried my damndest to make sure she was something more. We'll see if I was successful or not.
