I will send a rush delivery of my amputated legs & kidney if it is Anders, I would give them an arm too, but I would need that to play...
Why would bioware want pieces of your self
Well anyway from what people are saying in forms it doesn't seem likely that it is Anders since alot of the wardens choices effects where he is
I don't know... graft it on to whomever said they'd give them their first born to make a four-legged, three kidney monstrosity. You are right though I think I will find more use out of my legs than them after all

And I really hope it isn't Anders. Not that I didn't love Anders. But I am hoping for an entirely unique character.
I agree I would prefer a unique character that we, will most likely learn to love:wub:
than a character returning that not every one liked

I can't imagine the bonus character being anyone that was in Origins or Awakenings unless their ending was fixed. For example, if they could be killed sometime throughout the story, well then some people wouldn't be able to access the bonus character. No, I'm pretty certain it would be a completely new character. As for it being your Warden, I see no scenario in which this would be implementable OR a remotely good idea to begin with.
But hey, you never know.
Thats a serious bad idea
(1) They will need several different voice actors for race & gender.
(2) The graphic style for DA2 is different to DA:O so the character model might not transfer correctly.
(3) What about people took the ultimate sacrifice ending.
I'm sure there is other reasons why its a bad idea as well as this story being more focused on new main character.

Oh & I think the companion is Anders
This isn't a bad guess considering the epilogue slide at the end of Awakenings for Anders. It does say that Anders leaves the Grey Wardens and the Vigil for two months and then he returns to the Vigil for the rest of his days.
I was wondering if it might be Alistair, our Grey Warden (which would rock, I don't see this happening, just wishful thinking) or Anders.
I'd give bioware my first born if it's Anders.I wouldn't mind it being Anders.
I like something about every party member that I've had.
I'm also wondering when we talk with our companions after the coronation that it might be Zevran or Sten as well.
It could also be Sigrun, most assume she went back to the deep roads but this might not be the case.
Isn't Sigrun a member of the legion of the dead, unless darkspawn are directly involved with the main character in DA2 she might not be interested.

Maybe, maybe not. She is also a Grey Warden, there are darkspawn in the FreeMarches, so who knows? This will be interesting to find out. I went back and reviewed my slide it was a couple years after the warden finished Awakening. Also another correction if I may, my slide for Anders also said he left for two years also and came back, not two months. So Anders is a strong possiblilty. Alistair is also a strong possibility, especially with him being a Templar. If it is Alistair and he gets killed in DA2 then that might explain him disappearing when married to the HNF. This is really going to be interesting.

Well like you say he's gone for two years, since DA2 is covering 10 years my guess is if he does join the DA2 MC then hes a temporary character.
Though regarding Alistair there is too many possibilities of where he is.

I'm more curious about the Sword of Sten. None of the other items from the signature edition are named after a character. This leads me to believe that Sten has made a huge impact on this world since DA:O, possibly being involved with the Qunari invasion. Another plausible idea is that Sten has a part to play with the Hawke family, or Mr. Hawke himself. Be it friend of foe.
Sten is a role/rank in society. It isn't his "name" not in the sense we'd use it.
It would be like an item called "Sword of the Warden" - it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with our Warden, just one of them. It could be any Sten.
I believe this exchange happened in The Fade:
The Warden: (referring to the visions of other Qunari) "Why do they call you 'the Sten'?"
Sten: "The same reason they call you 'the Warden'."

God Sten was a badass... I miss him.
Gonna need to play Origins again. Get me Sten fix.

To the OP - I guess the closest example to this would be what we did with Shale DLC for DAO, in that as a full companion the character can join your party and has specific story content and quests written for it throughout the main game.
Thanks
I was beginning to wonder if anyone from bioware was going to answer my question
Anyway can you answer these two questions regarding the DLC for DA2, don't worry I am not asking about the character background or relevance to story, only in regard to comparison with rest the characters in DA2
(1) Does the BPC situation changes like the rest of characters of DA2 during the 10 years?
(2) Is the main character or fellow companies capable of a romance with BPC?
I would be most grateful if you can answer these questions

Yes, it was in the Fade. Also, in a banter Zevran says that Sten isn't... well, Sten's name. And Sten agree with him.
I have not seen such a scene in the game maybe I should try the Zevran and Sten combinations
Also if 'Sten' is a title then what is his name?

As I hear it, Qunari's names are descriptions of their rank in society

I'm more curious if the companion will actually have full dialog tree like Shale or be another Pull my String Kasumi, and only have a dialog tree when you meet him/her, and during his/her mission
I think its going to be like Shale since it was answered earlier in the discussion

Anyway, as I understand it, the title "Sten" is a bit like "Sarge".

That's what I understood it to mean as well. He led a small squad.

That sounds people who can't pre-order the game are missing out! I really liked Shale and how 'it' was used in the story. It was awesome to take Shale into Orzammar and stuff.
Will people with the 'normal' edition be capable to buy it as DLC after a while? If I remember correctly, people who had the special edition of DA:O had Wardens Keep as well. But people with the normal edition could pay for the DLC.
I'd hate to miss a cool party member like Shale

DAII will need a companion like HK-47/Legion/Shale. Make it so BioWare.

I'd give Bioware your first born if it's Anders, too. As punishment. Ugh. DEEKIN!!!
*cough* okay, no, I don't. I am hoping it's like Shale. Shale was Ossum. Her story fit well into the overall campaign, (except for the very beginning, but they had limitations on how to present that due to the fact that it WAS DLC). It didn't feel like it was tacked on at all. If I played DA: O without Shale, now, I'd feel like it was missing an important part of the story, whereas Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar felt more like "Damn, I'm missing a few bits of sweet gear. Oh well, I've got so much sweet gear now that I can't even fit it all on my NPC companions."
As for the quest vs. mission thing, I think a "quest" indicates an individual go-get-me-ten-garnets thing, whereas a mission is more of a whole series of quests strung together. Of course, you could take that the other way 'round, too. But if "bonus mission" means "now, 15% more fetch quests" imma be pissed.
