I was wondering if a Duelist Rogue focusing on strength/dex would be a good idea. Forget cunning .

Get the  Feign Death line of talents ( Feign Death will save your butt) and Lethality (passive increase to crits)

Get the dulist talents asap for Pinpoint Strike (all crits for a short time O.O). Add in backstabs + 1 talent in Assassin for mark of death for epic damage. With high strength you can duel wield the best swords. Dueling (for the helpful attack/def buff) is quite cheap to upkeep (unlike Momentum) and you can get it at the low low level of 7.

Ignore the  Momentum line of talents (your not focusing on getting as many backstabs as possible in a short time like an Assassin build)

get the other 2 Duel Wield talent lines. Thats 13 talents for all this. This leaves you with plenty to get other talents. I would certainly suggest stealth. And lay some traps. Then pull the enemy to their deaths!

Note: stead of Assassin you could take ranger which gives you a free extra meat sheild. Its worth it just for the extra  distraction. The extra crit chance from asssain is nice though. Your choice.

Definitely take assassin. It will increase your damage the most out of any of the rogue specializations. Don''t put any points into cunning other than the points you get from the Fade. Boost dexterity to 36 for DW tier 4. And pump strength like its going out of style. Max out DW talents, first two tiers of rogue talents, assassin talents, duelist talents and enjoy some insane damage.

Yeah definitely go with assassin for your secondary as you get a passive increase in critical chance just for taking the specialization. Duelist and Assassin really go well together for a melee rogue, the combination gives them pretty unparalleled dps.

Thanks, my 2h warrior only seems good and crushing bosses. I prefer attacking a lot faster and I love the punisher line of talents. Is Exploit Weakness worth it if you don't raise cunning?

rogue/assassin/duellist is the way to go for maximum damage, and minimum tank. At higher lvl you will be able to carry 2swords, and do flurry (3attacks) in sneak attack with max damage bonus.

err, I know assassin kicks butt but I wanted to try a duelist focused build instead to do something different.

Keep in mind that lethality not only raises your crit but will also replace str as your dmg modifier with cunning if its higher. All you really need str for is equipping desired weapon but since i am hooked on the Rose Thorn off hand (30% crit / back stab dmg) I prefer the cunning route since it feeds into other rouge skills.
