So can we change our companions outfits, or are they static like in ME2? Devs?

Lets hope this proves something.

I hope not. That second outfit is a complete fashion disaster.

Yeah, she really needs to take it off.

...I can't believe I went there.  I must be drunker than I thought.

now that i'm looking at it on a side note bioware really needs a new costume designer.....these outfits are ewwwwwww.

I acually like the outfits. Some of my favorites from DAO were the very early leatehers, splintmails, chainmails and scalemails. I like bethany's outfit. It looks as though it makeshift armor. Like making the best of what they have. Later in the game when everybody is 4 times larger in sparkly gaudy armor I acually care less about it.

The fact that the dev's seem to  be dodging this question in this thread and in at least two others that they're active in, is what is making me nervous about it.

I'd like to think Isabela's outfit is like Morrigan's, a starting outfit that can be changed, but the silence from the dev's is making think it might be more like the unchangable armor that your squad wore in ME2.

Which, in my opinion, would be very, very bad.

yeah i was just thinking the same thing.  If they change the armor setup to the one in mass effect, that is going to suck.  In ME2 they just gave us a few armors to customize and called it more "customizable", it was more like, hey fans we didnt feel like making a bunch of unique armors so i just gave you guys 2 or 3 and you can just paint them blue or green:bandit:.

I've got good news and bad news for you guys.

The good news: next week, we're going to talk about inventory and followers in detail in a podcast.
The bad news: it is not next week, yet.

So sit tight. I'll try to be comprehensive, or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof.

You could change their outfits in Origins, it makes sense that you could change them in DA2.

Dude, that works for me just fine Image IPB

I honestly didn't think there would be any word on this for months.

I just might name my second child Mike. Image IPB

Yeah but Football Manager 2011 comes out next week. How are you going to draw my attention away from trying to start my epic, long-haul career game where I start out managing some club team in Denmark that has to dress in an abandoned shack?

And an actual PC walkthrough gameplay video, right Mike? Cause that cinematic Rise to Power one totally didn't count.;)

I'm guessing next Thursday on the podcast then, since that would be the first Thursday of the month? Hopefully good news...

Is it me, or did the heavens just part and a chorus of angels start singing? :o

But seriously, this is wonderful news. Inventory and followers are such a big part of the game for me, it's ridiculous.

Thank you for the heads up, Mr. Laidlaw!

One is the exaggerated reality and the other isn't. While this doesn't really mean anything, exaggeration world might have different outfits. Just like how Hawke is in Cailan's PJs in the second photo but in the badass armor in the first one.

If I deal with too many things at once, I forget where I am and have to start over on all of them, so you probably don't want this.

I'm thinking that first screen is Bethany when you're in Varric's fantasy land exaggeration and the second is the real world- so I don't know if that really means much.

Hmmm.. now I could say something snarky like how maybe you should start over and have DA2 be a sequel in the vein of BG2, involving the silent PC Warden and dealing with Morrigan and Old God Baby and Flemeth, but I'll hold my tongue:P

Well, given a simple "yes" would suffice and wouldn't diminish people's desire to listen to the podcast in the slightest the "we're going to talk about it in detail next week" is slightly worrying. Still, guess can only wait and see. Or hear, for that matter.

Finished it. Twice.

Can't spoil anything because I had to write an NDA about the future.

Its like coming home from college and looking around the house for Scruffles your beloved family dog, only to ask your parents 'Where is Scruffles?" And instead of getting a quick, straight answer, your parents sit you down and give the drawn out "Well, about Scruffles. You see he was getting old and wasn't hot rod samurai'd enough, so...." :crying:
