Hmmm.. now I could say something snarky like how maybe you should start over and have DA2 be a sequel in the vein of BG2, involving the silent PC Warden and dealing with Morrigan and Old God Baby and Flemeth, but I'll hold my tongue:P

Why start now?

Well, given a simple "yes" would suffice and wouldn't diminish people's desire to listen to the podcast in the slightest the "we're going to talk about it in detail next week" is slightly worrying. Still, guess can only wait and see. Or hear, for that matter.

Its like coming home from college and looking around the house for Scruffles your beloved family dog, only to ask your parents 'Where is Scruffles?" And instead of getting a quick, straight answer, your parents sit you down and give the drawn out "Well, about Scruffles. You see he was getting old and wasn't hot rod samurai'd enough, so...." :crying:

we dressed him up in a cute new outfit?

"Yes" isn't as fun, though. They feed on tears afterall.

Fair enough, but i'd think there's plenty tears as it is all over the forums already Image IPB

Her breasts changing size and her gaining underwear was rather... odd. Thank god for the Robes of Posession.

Now that you've pointed that out, I'm going to be bothered by it forever.

Edit: Also, thanks Mike! /waits and twiddles thumbs

Then the guy from Extreme Makeover: House Edition shows up, yells to move the bus and the bus moves away to reveal a brand new robot cyborg dog with missles on it's back.

Now, why can't I have a cyborg dog?

And neon green panties. Which you can't remove.

seriously though, from another thread looks some things are going to change:

It's one of those things that will require more than just a short answer, as otherwise it'll just create a lot more questions.

I really, really hope not!  Fixed outfits were so unpopular in ME2, I can only image the forum uproar that having them in DA2 will cause.  It would not be a good/popular move and honestly, I can't see why they'd do it. Image IPB

I've got good news and bad news for you guys.

The good news: next week, we're going to talk about inventory and followers in detail in a podcast.
The bad news: it is not next week, yet.

So sit tight. I'll try to be comprehensive, or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof.

I hope you guys don't mutilate the inventory system like you did in ME2. But I have faith that you guys will work magic with DA2.

The mass effect inventory system had its problem's but instead of taking them out with a scalpel you guys took a chainsaw to it.

Never played ME2 but read a damn lot of hate about the inventory and fixed clothes that I'm hoping the same thing - that they have taken note of it and NOT implemented it into DA2

Was especially bad in ME:2 when you are like in the vacuum of space, or a bloody acid planet, and Miranda and Jacob have this little mask on that would get them killed, due to enviornmental exposure.

It terrifies me that there's something to talk about.  Since I strongly doubt you're going to use an inventory system I like, I was hoping you'd stick with DAO's system to avoid breaking it further.

If you make DA2 any more like ME2 I'm going to set something on fire.

I only ask that you do this in the middle of an empty lot somewhere. Should you live nearby, and the fire spreads, I shall be hard-put to come up with the money to replace my belongings.

Your encouraging them by telling him not to encourage them.

Oh sh... I'm doing it too.

Keep the inventory, but add the ability to color edit from ME2 and we have a golden game.

I seem to be in the minority in that I vastly prefer ME2's unique costume non-inventory schtick. The characters are not themselves in swappable recolored armor (imagine Jack in Survivor armor), and with the shiny movie poster aesthetic that series seems to be aiming towards, it makes sense for each of them to have a unique look.

Also, losing one feature pretty much always means that something else was beefed up. I'll give up the Mako and QTE mining and unflattering recolors again any day to look around and realize that the walls are shiny and the colors are bright and environments are full of awesome junk that makes them look lived in. Who knows where the resources actually went, but you get my point.

(P.S.: If I had the opportunity to kill aliens in a catsuit and heels, I would take it. Miranda is living the DREAM.)

I'm in the middle-ground, it be incredibly time-consuming to be done. So I in no way think it would be done but in a perfect game I would like to see one being able to change the clothing/armour. However it is adapted for each PC. So in DA2 for instance Isabela has some of her pirate like traits show through in the armour.

Once more in the perfect gaming circumstance I could see that as part of PC character customization as well. Choosing clothing traits that appear no matter what you wear.
