 I'm making a new project, and there are a few things I need to figure out before I can even consider starting. How can I make it so my character starts if as say... A qurani, also make them wearing armour.? How to add companions to the game, and how to create my own items and use them as quest rewards.

 That information is all available in these forums, though it's not trivial to search - I'd suggest some google searches with site:social.bioware.com

At any rate (I'm going to assume you've hit some of the tutorials on the wiki):

- Starting a character with equipped items is easy.  In your module script, in the EVENT_TYPE_CHARGEN_END case, just use

EquipItem(oHero, UT_AddItemToInventory(R"c1_str_mass_boots_t4.uti"));

Where oHero is an object pointing to your main character (GetHero()) and the R"whatever.uti" is the resource name of the item you want equipped.  EquipItem also takes an optional param for slot to equip the item if it's ambiguous (eg rings) - the constants will be in the scripting pane on the right.

You'll need to #include "utility_h"

- Companions are covered by a couple of tutorials on the wiki; they're aimed at slightly different needs so check them out and use the one that suits your project.

- Creating items is easy, just select new > item in the toolset.  Giving them to the player is also trivial (the UT_AddItemToInventory() function used above), you'll just need to figure out where to use that function for your quest.  I would suggest creating a plot script for your quest plot, and putting the function inside the case for your QUEST_COMPLETE (or whatever) flag, which you can then just set from a conversation at the appropriate time.

- A qunari PC is very possible, but I don't know much about it.  There's a default character (Jaden, you'll meet him testing any standalone module ^_^), I think you edit that creature as a first step.  There's more information about this on the forum and possibly the wiki.

I should mention that EVENT_TYPE_CHARGEN_END may not be the appropriate place to add equipment if you're providing a prebuilt character - but once you've figured out how to do that you'll know which event you're looking for anyway.

Also you should use a plot to flag it so it only happens once!
