Here's my wishlist for the collector's edition of Mass Effect 3:
-Mass Effect with SecuROM removed and all patches applied.  Also includes all downloadable content.
-Goodies equal to or greater than what was included with Mass Effect 2.

That's all I can think of for now.  Anyone else have suggestions?

I started this thread to list the things I'd like to see in a collector's edition of ME3 in case there is one.  Was your response meant as a joke?

EDIT: this paragraph was based on a misconception on my part, and was therefore removed.

Also, I don't have the faintest idea what a SecuROM is   :)

It's a digital rights management program that publishers use to prevent a game disc from being copied.  The problem is that it can cause problems on a computer since it buries itself deep in the Windows registry and is generally annoying.

I apologize if the intent of this thread was not clear.

The intent was perfectly clear, no need to worry about that. The misconception that I referred to was that, when I first read through your post, I thought you wanted to get Mass Effect 3 with all patches applied, which I found weird. After reading through your post again I realized my mistake and removed the paragraph that referred to the issue.

Anyways, on topic:
In case of there being promotional DLC with ME3 just as there was with ME2, I would want that to be included in the Collector's Edition. I seriously doubt that I can put my trust in another freak accident on xbox.com that lets me download all the promotional DLC for free  Posted Image

Surely, you can think of better things than that.

Yeah, I can.  This was hastily written while at work so let me build on this cipher now:
-a diecast model of the SR-2 Normandy would be nice as hell.
-in addition to ME1 sans DRM BioWare could also throw in ME2 and all of its DLC.
-a book of the Mass Effect universe in hard cover explaining its history and highlighting significant events.
-no DRM software of any kind, of course.
-twice the DLC from the Cerberus Network that was available in ME2.
-I like the steel case from ME2; let's have another one for ME3.

I'll add more as I think of things but I want everyone to throw out their ideas tooPosted Image.

I just want another bonus disk ala the first Mass Effect. It was actually a game disk (rather than a dvd) loaded with content; the evolution of the major art designs with commentary for each piece was a highlight.

This is they only video I can find as of right now, it is kinda hard to see but you should get the idea.

Interesting point.  Do you think they'll include a die-cast Reaper model...say Harbinger?

If they included a model of a Reaper, it'd be big.

As for me, I would personally like to see in Mass Effect 3 Reaper Edition:

-Diecast model of the SR-2

-N7 medal or plate

-Bonus disc containing extras, behind the scenes, interviews with the cast and dev team, and the development of the game

-Soundtrack of the game

-Maybe a Lithograph of all the main characters (or of your own Shepard)

Good suggestions.  And I agree: a Reaper model would be to big unless BioWare reduced it.

all DLC for free with this collector edition? well, you have a big wish. it won't happen. DLC is very important part to bring you back to game continually. it must have price like ME 2 DLC. I am sure for this. of course, there will be few free DLC. but bigger one won't be free. sorry. plus, I think that price point will be increase. recently, all you guys have seen new game price. it's about $60 for PC. so I think that ME 3 will be about $60 ($59.99) for normal version. collector edition will be about $80. dragon age 2 is $59.99. dead space is the same price. you know what I am talking. PC game won't be cheaper anymore.

If they include enough goodness in the package then the high price will be justified.  I remember when Quake was released by GT Interactive in November '96 it cost $60 bucks.  Some games have always been pricey.

A real artbook. Or something else. I haven't bought the ME2 collector's edition guide yet, but I bet the tiny artbook we get in the ME2 LE is as much of a waste than the ME1 is, since all the artworks were included in the real artbook with more.

I think it should have highly detailed models of the SR1 and the SR2, along with a making of dvd a soundtrack cd and [as Evil Johnny 666 said] a real artbook.

also for a trillogy collectors edition, all of that AND the stuff that came with the ME1 and ME2 collectors editions. is that asking to much? probably, but we can only hope right!
