A unique piece of armour via dlc for the collector edition would be cool. Like maybe contact lenses that you would equip like the a visor in the armour select menu and they would look like The Illusive man's eye's and gives you bonuses to your stats like a visor or helmet would. Maybe call them the eye's of Cerberus or something, just a idea.

Shepard's old N7 shoulder plate. Everyone else seems to collect pieces of Shepard's armour, so why can't you?

Think about it. Liara had a piece, Legion had a piece, and Shepard can find their old helmet.

edit: And maybe, to go with that, have the old-generation Heavy N7 Armour as an in-game exclusive DLC armour? Maybe even have it cobbled together from all the pieces. Wearing the armour you died in....nice.

I really want to see hardcover Codex, behind the scenes DVD and wearable dogtags.

Also, good A4 100+ pages artbook and mass relay model would be great.

And speaking of weapons and other props which would be fun to have (I don't see it happening, though) - full scale Cain replica with sounds, or working datapad (I really liked ebook suggestion in the thread), or visor (at least showing time and playing some music from th game), or plushie of Blasto.

As for in-game content, I don't care much about armour and weapons, but I would love some additional story/character content. Something like EDI's logs, for example. She records everything that's happening on the ship, so it would be fun to hear some funny/characterful/story conversations between squadmates.

Or, maybe, some audio diaries of Shepard, where the events of the game are retold as Shepard (not the player) sees it. For example, I'm really pissed off about Ash on Horizon, and I don't like the way Alliance treats my Shep in general, but I'd like to know what my Shep feels. Though, it might be hard to do, considering the variety of choices in the game. So, maybe it should be audiodiaries of some minor character, like Kelly?Though, Kelly's diaries might get way too M-rated. Not that I mind it:whistle:

Or, maybe the mix of all stuff I mentioned above - just some additional logs from different characters.

I still say the best thing it could come with would be a a little model kit to make your own Normandy.

I personally prefer to have physical things in collectors edition stuff... I mean, in-game stuff is cool and all, but 20 years down the road when we aren't playing these games as much (or at all) who cares if you have some extra armor or weapons or squadmates? You cant show those on a shelf for the rest of your life... For example, when I got Halo 2 and then Halo 3 I bought every multiplayer map pack. But now, you cant play Halo 2 online... so thats money gone out, and soon Halo 3 and the Call of Duty's will follow... I like having special boxes I can show off, or memorabilia that I can place on shelves. THAT is what it means to collect...

Model Normandy would be nice, but my only real wish is that they don't go the route of the DA2 signature edition that leaves room for mudslinging between Bioware/EA and retailers over unfulfilled orders. Just two versions, each with its own product number in every retailer's system, that's all.

Why yes, I did get burned by a retailer claiming to be able to get the signature edition...

Also, I don't have the faintest idea what a SecuROM is   :)

And thus Bioware is able to stelath-install malware on your pc.

I don't think we'll have to worry about that with Mass Effect 3.  When ME2 dropped last year there were enough copies of the collectors' edition available.  I bought two (one for each of my boxes).

Yep, I did the same, though only one copy. Don't remember for sure, but don't think I'd preordered, just decided to treat myself to an upgrade on the spot. Which would have been impossible with the whole "limited time only" thing of the sig ed, which some retailers then decided to lie about afterwards... *cough, my local Game branch*

For some reason my post got deleted...weird.

I hope we have 3 versions like Halo.

mass effect 3- regular edition= just the game.
Mass Effect 3 collector= almost everything has said would be awesome
Mass Effect 3 N7= they can add whatever they want as long as they add the N7 hoodie in large/medium and I'd buy it right now.

Since I usually buy the fancy digital editions, I'm generally cut out from the fripperies included in the usual runs of collector/uber editions. Granted I'm not that big on having little models that end up gathering dust on shelves, fancy tins that'll end up getting dented and likely thrown out eventually, or gizmos that end up defective like Fallout 3's pipboy clock.

For a fancy digital edition, I'd love to see an artbook, a discount code for the Bioware Store, exclusive content be it just customization or items for use in game, or so the digital crowd's not left out of trinkets like dogtags, then include a redeemable code for it to get mailed out separately to us.

I know none of this is likely to happen for us on the digital end, but it'd be nice if it did.

I'd heard about that with the Signature Edition of Dragon Age 2.  Damn shame too since BioWare made it clear that it would only be available for preorder until January 11th.  The fact that some stores and web sites were listing it after that date is just criminal in my opinion.

It'd be something if BioWare lists three editions but I don't think that will happen.  If it does it may lead to more confusion than anything else...then again you never know.

The last two games?  Never happen mate, get real.

Bonus DLC is clearly a must.
I dont really care for a music cd, i had one with Mirror's Edge, never listened to it.  Not once.

Now, about this helmet...how about a full size helmet, with installed headphones and mic AND retractable 3D technology visor to view the game in all its 3d niceness?

That would be way better than some crappy picture book, or dumb ass sound track that youd never listen too.
Something you could "use", you get me?

Why does everyone want ME 1/2, don't you have those already?

If they have ME themed controller/mouse I will trow my money at Bioware for both the PS3 and PC editions.

Along with the model of the Normandy and the art book as mentioned earlier, I'd like some kind of N7 keyring and a classy poster.

Shepard should get some unique Spectre armour pieces as well, though that should probably just be in Vanilla.

Here's an interesting thought: maybe each retailer could have some kind of Species specific edition, since a big part of the game is getting help from the different aliens of the galaxy against the Reapers.

Gamestop: Council Edition
- Features packaging designed around the Asari, Turians, and Salarians.
- Model of the Destiny Ascension.

Best Buy: Migrant Edition
- Features packaging designed around Quarian and Geth iconography.
- Model of either the Migrant Fleet's main ship, or a Geth Colossus.

Walmart: Warlord Edition
-Features packaging designed around Krogan and Tuchanka imagery.
-Statue of Wrex sitting on his throne.

Lastly, maybe specific online retailers like the Bioware Store could carry the hyper exclusive Cerberus or Reaper edition.

Cerbus Edition:
- Cerberus packaging
-Normandy Model

Reaper Edition:
-Reaper, Husk, Collector imagery on the packaging
-Harbinger model.

Do you realize how much all of that would cost to produce?!

I am not hating the ideas though, just filter it down to one of those, preferably the Normandy one.

Didn't BW say they wanted to use the NVG from CoD as an example? How about an airsoft version of the Avenger rifle. Or go the other way and hand out plush versions of the LIs.

Oh I know it would be quite crazy to do as far as cost, but assuming they aren't each too big for their own good, it might be feasible... Look at games like Mortal Kombat having multiple special editions, with a special edition (statue) and tournament edition (fight stick). Bioware hasn't really opted for the insane $150 edition yet, if they aimed for more in the range of $70-$80 and kept the models/statues relatively small it could work. Just have the whole lot of the models/statues made by a company such as McFarlane.
