Looks like a lot of us want a steel case for the collector's edition of Mass Effect 3. I would think by now that that's a given but I want to repeat again in case anyone from BioWare is reading this: steel case for ME3! And if BioWare really wants to get jiggy with it there should be an option for getting the game on Blu-ray for us PC gamers that have Blu-ray drives in our boxes. Just a thought..

 Pleeeeeeeeeease more in game usable stuff.  I could give two ****s about anything else.  I might like a model of the normandy but besides that and a nude calander of all the female characters in the game I could care less.  

I'd rather have a ridiculously awesome gun, armor set & power ups.   Or an extra level of the game that only the collector's edition would have.  In other words. More Game Content!

I agree regarding armor, weapons, and power-ups but I'd still want some replicas and models included as well.

I don't like steel cases. They damage way too easily, and are practically impossible to replace. A standard black DVD case doesn't have that problem. I've got the Premier Edition of Red Alert 3, and I really dislike the case.

I'd also like to see some nice additional weapons/armor, and more like they are in Mass Effect 2, rather than Dragon Age 2. ME2's DLC weapons/armor are useful throughout the game, whereas with exception of Fadeshear, all the DLC is crap halfway through the first act.

Unless the game exceeds the capacity of a DVD there is no reason to put it on Blu-Ray.   The game will probably not have 1080i HD video, and even if it does, unless it requires the Blu-Ray disc in the drive to run, 1080i HD can be run off the computer hard drive just as well as off the Blu-ray disc.

It would be like a family with one baby (and no possibility of more) buying a 8-passenger van.   Wasted space (and money).

  Guys, I'm just as anxious as you are, but calm down, it's gonna be a while.  When it comes to the CE, what's in it, and all that, Jarrett Lee is the guy you want to talk to,  Casey Hudson is busy on the game itself.   Jarrett was already nice enough to post in this very topic to tell us he's reading our suggestions and comments, but that was only 3 weeks ago. 

  If he's considering all we are saying, then it's obviously very early in the process of putting together an Uber edition.   It's gonna take some time for it to come together and even longer until it's finalized and an announcement can be made. Jarrett's always been good in the past about communicating with the fans when a CE is in the works, so I'm sure he'll let us know something when he can. 

  Bioware also rarely announce CE information much before 3 or 4 months outside of release, so don't expect anything until after E3 or even July.  Hopefully our suggestions and waiting will be rewarded.

Bonus DVD/Blueray, Artbook, and Soundtrack is all I would want, for a reasonable price.

Other than that, maybe a litograph showcasing Shepard and all the previous squadmates and huge characters. Although, femshep fans would probably get their panties in a bunch over it.

How about instead of a steel case, they have the standard plastic case for the Xbox edition but with Alliance blue plastic instead of the familiar light green… I think Halo Reach did something like this with their legendary edition. It would be a nice touch...

Man, why do so many people want artbooks and behind the scenes DVDs? Who ever looks at them more than once? 
And replica rifles/pistols – full scale, ¼ scale etc, whatever scale… I don’t get it! For the $200-300 price tag of most uber-editions, you can’t expect anything of very great quality. Just plastic crap mostly.

I appreciate the information. To be fair, the main reason why I set up an account here was solely for this sort of thing. Once I know what's within the CE I'll probably won't dwell among these forums.

1) Limited Edition digital armor in game (something new, not belonging to any faction)
2) A model of the head reaper ship or whatever is the ultimate boss in ME3 when on touching has something like the Tesla coil toy that sells in museums
3) An invite to the Mass Effect MMO beta if that is in works
4) A model prothean artifact that on touch becomes transparent and reveals the species who built the reapers before they became sentient
5) The game ofcourse.

I agree with you on all of that except the MMO I want the idea of an MMO to be scrapped right now. but to add I would like:

- an art book that covers everything like the codex

- all DLC to be on a disc

- and of course a diagram/poster/art book dedicated solely on the anatomy of a reaper

-  and a making of DVD

Being that I missed out on the first two mass effect collector's editions, I would like to see them make a collectible tin that you could store all 3 games in. Kind of like the multi disk package for the whole Neverwinter Nights series when you bought Hordes of the Underdark

I totally agree with some of the previous posts.
Special ingame armor and a Replica of the Normandy. Also i like the idea of a steel case for the game!

How about a lot of cool in game stuff, a Statue or Replica of some type, Steelcase no doubt.. but MOST importantly..

ACCESS TO THE GAME A MONTH BEFORE THE REGULAR EDITION!!!!

i personally dont care about artbooks and behind the scenes dvds.i dont have anything against them but still.what i wan is a steel case with the full game,at least on extra dlc that wont be avalible in any other version or later on,and a model of the revenant machine gun,full sized if possible.

I must admit I'm still leaning towards the following:

Sheperd's helmet as recovered from the wreckage of the SR1.
Sheperd's dog tags as given to him by Liara.

That way my desk will look just like my desk in the game!

Though the Geth Desk Lamp is rather intriguing to me.

More requests for a Geth desk lamp. Interesting. I'm still holding put hope for a replica of the Widow sniper rifle and Carnifex hand cannon along with the Normandy (SR1 and SR2).
