Mass Effect wall scroll, or Lithographs. Even a poster would do...

To the degree of The Witcher 2 Collector's Edition (image provided). CD Projekt RED have thrown down the gauntlet to all other studios. All that for £60.

Image IPB

The only let down to this CE is that it lacks a great deal of DLC in-game content. So i would like the ME3 CE to have "EXCLUSIVE DLC" to it. Nothing that will come out months later because fans whine for it.

I have to say that if the Mass Effect 3 collector edition looks like this I would be happy as hell.  Throw in a few die-cast replicas of the Normandy, the Widow and Carnifex and BioWare would certainly get my money.  Hell, I'd buy two of them.

As long as it's not just some stupid helmet or nightvision goggles, and it has a lot of documentary for one of the most awesome game series in history, I'm happy.

I can't understand myself... I'm not even interested in this game. Never even played the first one... just don't feel like it.

Check out my Polls! my ideas and some I've heard and vote. Bioware might look at it and think about using the ideas. Who knows?

Best CE ever. I'm actually buying One digital copy and the CE.

Funny I never heard anyone complain about lack of DLC content with a CE. For $130 I want physical stuff.

The dice set, cards, bust  and Oren (curreny from the Witcher) really make it awesome!

Huge **** Collectors edition? Im in. Lets start with a large reaper themed (steel case) box. Inside we may find the game, extra content disk (including things such as armor, weapons, Urz, Etc),and a full making-of DVD about the entire series. We can throw in a sound track disk for playing those tunes, a map of the Citadel wards or the milky way galaxy, and the HARD COVER codex book (listing every thing from the games and much more). An N7 patch and bumper sticker would help us get our swag on, and a scale normandy from ME3, a scale Widow sniper rifle, a scale version of Shepard's helmet (not life sized, about the size of a coffee mug) could help us feel like we are in our own captan's caben. Of corse an art book would be included, but am authentication certificate would make all our friends (imaginary or not) jellous. Shepard's dog tags in a frame signed by Liara would look great on a bed side table, bathed in blue light cast by a geth lamp, and of corse, a huge urz plushy would be great to curl up with while we drink a cup of coffee and read our codex.

and as long as I'm dreaming, a one way ticket to the Citadel, all expenses payed, would be nice.

EDIT: and speaking of normandy replica I found this so-so pre-orderable model.

Well what made me want Collectors edition is that it included the Normandy Model as shown in various pics. But they decided to sell that seperately so not sure on what would encourage me to get it lol. Well I am known to like games that have a Steel case, that might make me wanna get it lol.

Well Witcher's CE is pretty standard. It's BioWare or maybee even EA in generall that makes subpar editions. To name few games that had CE similar or better than this: Every edition of WoW, Drakensang 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Gran Turismo 5... hell, I think that the recent Tron Game had a better CE than Mass Effect 2... and everyone knows that games made on movies are bad. Allways.

And true that - if the collectors edition stuff is avalible elsewhere, what's the point of it being collectors edition? If it does show up that it's both in separate sale and in the CE it only proves that EA can't do CEs right.

A highly limited edition set of dog tags which are customised on a per-customer basis with the name of a Shepard of their choosing (you enter the name when you pre-order).

I'd be down for a unique black, red on white striped, N7 monogram thumb drive containing things like:
- OST
- High resolution Artwork Gallery (stuff you'd find in an artbook)
- ME Codex
- "Making of" video, cast interviews, trailers, etc
- Bonus in-game content installable from the thumb drive and enabled online with an activation key.

A thumb drive is compact and can be creatively packaged into something the size of the ME2 collector's edition.

Make the Collector's Edition limited and numbered, with dog tags pressed with corresponding CE numbering.  The tags could represent our place in the militia facing the reapers.  Perhaps the tags had been "recovered" and sent back to our loved ones.

I love it when in CE you have exclusive in-game items (weapons, armor and such) or DLC not available anywhere else whether pre or post release.

Duh, we need the lifesize Mass Effect 2 M-451 Firestorm. It should be fully opperational and just for kicks have a full chainsaw attached to the end. Now that... would be awesome.

I have to say, the thumb drive  is one of the best and most realistic possibilities for the collectors edition, and the idea of the authentication on the dog tags is great. it would add a sense of uniqueness and a letter of recovery and condolence from bioware would be a nice addition. However, if the dog tags do not say "Shepard," it may loose it's connection to the mass effect universe. of course, if the name the game is pre-ordered under is added to the tag to look like an alliance solder, no dead implication of a dead Shepard would be needed.

I posted a while back what my uber edition would be and after reading through a few people ideas I’ve tweaked my list

Of course the game, possibly with number one and two included but thats not totally necessary.

A model of the Normandy SR2 that’s at least 10 inches long, very detailed and made of something other than cheap plastic. A nice display base would be great too. Lights on the Normandy or on the base to illuminate the ship would be great bonus as well. It also needs to be painted, not sure how I would feel about a solid metal all silver Normandy. – I saw that model that’s available to purchase and I hope that’s not the finished product. I really wanted a nicely painted metal model that’s at least 10 inches long. The stand is cheap looking and those segments/joints in the hull look funky. It does say on the bioware store site that the photos are of the prototype and that it could vary so I hope that’s true. If it looks good enough and is sold separately and not bundled with uber edition then I may still buy it. I just hope it comes with the uber edition included. If the Normandy isn’t included, then I would still like to see some kind of replica from the game, preferably a detailed weapon, not the helmet.

A detailed codex filled with as much info on the mass effect universe as possible as well as a making of documentary, sound track and exclusive DLC. I really like the idea of using a mass effect themed thumb drive to hold all this information if needed. The person above suggested a black, red and white N7 monogrammed thumb drive which would be great. If you want to go all out though, how about a USB thumb drive shaped like a mass relay that when plugged in would light up and the rings would spin. Just a thought. Whatever deisgn you pick, make it with a key ring so that i can attach it to my keys and carry it around with me. I already use a thumb drive for that but would gladly replace it with this one.

Shepherd dog tags with or without battle damage. – Since more and more people have been saying they want this I would hope that it’s included. They’re relatively inexpensive to make and would add a nice touch to the package. Also since many people seem to want to have their own shepherds name engraved on it, which would probably be too costly and complicated a process to make happen, I suggest the following. Just have the dog tags be battle damaged, say as a result of the Normandy SR1 going down, and have some of the damage cut across the first name on the dog tags so that you can’t read it. Just across the first name though, make rest of the tags legible. That way people can more easily associate it with their shepherd without having to have their shepherds first name on it. I’m sure that would be possible.

A poster map of the Mass effect universe with information on all the major locations – This would be a much appreciated addition and would be inexpensive to produce.

All of this packaged inside a really nice, metal collector’s case made to look like something found in the mass effect universe.

Finally, if there’s room for one more item, how a about a limited edition numbered lithograph with Shepherd and his entire team that would only be available with the uber editon. I’m talking about every main playable character across all three games that had a space aboard the Normandy. Obviously not possible in the game world since characters died along the way but does that really matter. Just think of it as a group photo like the ones movie cast members take together at the end of filming. If it cant be included at least produce one for individual sale as i would seriously consider buying such a thing.

I think this would definitely be doable as an uber edition. It includes enough items to keep the package interesting but not so much that the cost would be absurdly high. I hope you Bioware people are still reading this thread.

A mock Omni Tool. lol. Something simple and cool.

Also
An N7, Spectre, or Cerberus badge or Medallion

Artwork, and Concept notes. It would be interesting as to where the inspiration for ME came from.

I guess I'm on the other end of the spectrum myself. I for one don't care about collectible junk (statues, toys, nicknacks, etc.) with a physical copy of the game. I buy most of my games online through Steam or XBox Live. If I'm going to pay extra for a CE of a game I want extra CONTENT in the game ... exclusive gear, exclusive characters, exclusive levels, etc.

I've bought a few CE of games with extra "collectible junk" in the box and most of it ends up in the trash a few months/years later or ends up collecting dust on a shelf behind more important stuff. Exclusive in-game content is a gift that keeps on giving every time you play the game.
