The only let down to this CE is that it lacks a great deal of DLC in-game content. So i would like the ME3 CE to have "EXCLUSIVE DLC" to it. Nothing that will come out months later because fans whine for it.

Best CE ever. I'm actually buying One digital copy and the CE.

Funny I never heard anyone complain about lack of DLC content with a CE. For $130 I want physical stuff.

The dice set, cards, bust  and Oren (curreny from the Witcher) really make it awesome!

I guess I'm on the other end of the spectrum myself. I for one don't care about collectible junk (statues, toys, nicknacks, etc.) with a physical copy of the game. I buy most of my games online through Steam or XBox Live. If I'm going to pay extra for a CE of a game I want extra CONTENT in the game ... exclusive gear, exclusive characters, exclusive levels, etc.

I've bought a few CE of games with extra "collectible junk" in the box and most of it ends up in the trash a few months/years later or ends up collecting dust on a shelf behind more important stuff. Exclusive in-game content is a gift that keeps on giving every time you play the game.

Can I have your collectible junk?

I just wanted to comment that yes, the extra material memorabilia can be not as satisfying as blasting enemies with a premium weapon, bragging to your friends that you have the top notch armaments, but in some cases if done right, a replica or, in ME3's case, hopefully dog tags, physical merchandise can be just as worth the money. Im sure that bioware will have armor, weapons, and maybe a mission (an integrated new character through out the game would be tough) so don't wory to much about lacking DLC. I'm sure bioware will surprise us for the end of the trilogy, and If you don't want the stuff, pawn it on ebay.

To most games yes useless statues and stuff gets lost but that's most games this is freaking Mass Effect that stuff is going right where I will see it everyday. I feel like cool weapons will eventually come anyway we get one shot for some really cool physical extras.

I don't think any of us have to worry about whether the collector's edition for Mass Effect 3 will be worth it.  Since it's the end of the trilogy I'm sure BioWare has something special planned.  And just as a reminder to those who don't care for replicas or extras...that's why they're called "collector editions": they're for gamers that want the ultimate experience for their purchase.

Now this may be asking too much but I think the penultimate Collector's (Reaper's, if you prefer) Edition should come with Yvonne Strahovski... I would honestly pay anything for that

@BrandonMcD85 said: wanted to say, huge fan of the Mass Effect series, can't wait for 3. Any insight yet on what will come with the Collector Ed?

CH: Still working on ideas for what a CE would contain. No firm plans yet.

Reapers' edition sounds ominous but hey, the Collectors' edition of ME2 could'vd been called that too.

Whatever you do Bioware, please throw in a dogtag of some kind, maybe that simply says Shepard and other info that relates to everyone's Shepards. (first human Spectre, etc). Hell, just throw the name Shepard on it and make the dogtag in itself unique. I will wear it always. Promise. :)

Not if they have unique bar code, numbers, or the name of your shepard. Bioware could even have some way to link the numbers on the code to your bioware social, allowing you to set up a shepard profile. Idk i would love dog tags

I want a functioning Garrus visor. Maybe it can serve as an mp3 player, or something of the sort, with the ME1, ME2, and ME3 playlist already pre-loaded. (I can dream, can't I?)  And as an added bonus, include custom tracks of what Garrus has on his visor in the game.

Heh.  Then it would be called the Garrus Edition.

I would like a full size Normandy SR2 with full crew and EDI included...Whaaat? *shrugs*...A girl can dream can't she?

Okay, I'll be more reasonable. I always prefer stuff that I can use in the game, so anything that my Shep can use right off the bat would be welcome.  And a hamster ball for Boo is an absolute must... he's really starting to feel cooped up in that tiny glass cage of his. And NO I'm not kidding about the hamster ball. I would like to see Boo rolling around on all levels of the Normandy, CIC, Engineering, etc. Art would be good too.

Come now, this is the Bioware forums.  Never concede that anything a fan desires might be unreasonable.  :P

personally i'd like a steelcase box for the disc, an exclusive armour like the collector armour, maybe a model of a reaper or the normandy or a mass relay and also maybe a large scale replica of shepard's n7 helmet or his dog tags and finally maybe a disk with the soundtrack

Harcover A4 artbook with at least 100 pages.

This straightforward response, combined with the Clint Eastwood pic made me LoL.

Well in fantasy land I'd say a Jack Litho, because I never got the old one that is now unavailable. But assuming the bioware community isn't going to all come together to support getting a special edition focusing on ol' VoidCabbages favorite character... here's a more generalised list.

Definately a fancy hardcover Artbook, Making of Doc, soundtrack, limited edition Litho, and as for a statue I'd want a Geth... maybe Legion if he has a decent sized role in the third game.

Personally I don'y like limited edition DLC... as getting a game later on and then finding out you're missing out on like a character or an awesome quest sucks hard... so I'm more for out of game stuff.

I haven't read the whole thread and wonder if anyone mentioned this.

A choice of character pic in a Pocket Size Datapad! :D The plastic transparency with picture in it is not really hard to make, it would be perfect it it glows at dark.

I don't think that's been suggested yet.  That sounds interesting.

collectors edition with (proper-size) artbook, soundtrack, bonus disc with behind the scenes content/making of - etc, premium theme, avatar stuff and bonus armour.

then for a "Reaper Edition" in the vein of this:
Posted Image
with a (default) shepard statue (or diaorama with a reaper in the background and shepard(/squad) in front), tin case and all the stuff from the CE in one go.
