I agree with this. I can live without the replica of the Normandy if its going to ultimately add up to $150, but I'll wait and see...

What about a codex, geth lamp, or joker hat? is $150 really too much to pay for the most hard core edition of the finale of one of the best game series ever? i would.

I suppose there's some truth to this, but I'm a poor man longing for other games as well (like Skyrim). I have a tight budget unfortunately.

Here's something I'd like to see included: a patch that upgrades an ME2 installation's graphics to that of ME3.  I don't think that's too much to ask.

Good Point. I don't have much cash to spare, so i'm saving now..... btw skyrim looks amazing (don't let bioware see ) lol

Same here.  I'm guessing the game's development is far enough along that Casey Hudson and crew can announce the collector edition and make us all happy.  Hopefully they've consulted this thread for suggestions.

I'd love an Normandy SR2 with the CE, but now that Dark Horse is putting one out this fall I doubt they'll be one in the CE. I mean the CE will have to be announced before the DH version is released and that would ****** off DH if everyone cancelled their pre-orders with them because a better one is included in the CE. Realistically, I doubt EA will even put out an Uber version because they're just to money grubbing and CE's are expensive to produce. Be really surprised if it was more then what we've seen already with DA and Mass Effect which isn't much. If I had my choice of content though, it'd be the following;

Must Have!!

Printed Manual
Full ME3 Sountrack
Making of the Mass Effect Series DVD
Full size art book with 200+ pages
Exclusive DLC codes

Also, any of the following

mouse pad
stickers
poster/lithos
deck of cards
comic book
ME Deception novel
N7 Helmet paperweight (kind of like Geralt's head in TW2 CE)

I pre-ordered a Model Normandy from DH, but they are sold out of figures. I already know that no matter how much it costs, I am getting the ultimate CE. I think Cerberus Network will still be good for ME3, so hopefully we won't need a new card. I would like for it to include
ME3
Making of DVD
FULL SIZED art book
Exclusive DLC ( seriously exclusive)
Shepard's dog tags/miniature helmet
Journal of Liara/Kaiden/Ashley/Garrus etc; any character who has been involved with Shepard from ME1. (ex: Halsey's journal for Halo: Reach)
Soundtrack would be nice
Poster/blueprints of Normandy/lithograph signed by ME team
A small pack of tissues manufactured by a Cerberus shell corporation, because I know I am going to cry during the final hours.

that is the most retarded reasoning ever, not to mention elitist. how does dlc or in-game content even begin to compare to something unique and physical in a limited collector's edition? it can't, doesn't and never will.

Once Again, Agreed. i think that even if i can't parade around a multiplayer map with a flaming helmet, i would like a special armor or weapon to destroy reapers with. If i pay more for a collectors edition, i really hope that at launch, all the special dlc i payed extra for is released to the public, IE not a collectors item.

Hm, I guess it is a matter of perspective/preference then but if I pay more money, I actually want something that has a value because of it's intrinsic properties, not due to the fact that others can't have it. That would be like the diamond app on the iphone, which IMO is a bit silly.
But back on topic (I guess this is half on topic though)

How could anyone want a POS plastic case over the steel case? That was the best part of the ME2 CE. And people... you're not going to get free DLC. Duh.

But what about a personalized Sig/Ult./Reaper addition?

Let me explain, you preorder the game and upload (I don't know how this would work on PS3/Xbox) your save game file from your favorite ME2 final mission save, and...

-Personalized dog tags with "insert name hear" Sheppard on them.
-Maybe a personalized physical or digital comic book or something, catered to your character and the choices they made.
-A print with your actual in game characters face modeled, or crazier yet, your character on the box art.

The possibilities are endless really. Fitting for a the ultimate title in a trilogy that put so much emphasis on character choice and making Mass Effect 'your' story.

Again though-probably way way WAY over the top....
