 It sucks when the sequel to Dead Space, a game that that originally pulled in a niche audience, was granted permission to develop an Uber edition while ME3, sequel to one of EA's most critically acclaimed games of all time, cannot.

Unless a dev can supply a damn good reason for this, I am contemplating starting a petition.

I preordered the CE today on Gamestop.com.

If there ends up being an Uber Edition, I'll cancel and preorder that.

We ARE a whole 9 months away, after all.

Considering GAMEs usual links to stuff Gamestop has I'll be surprised if they don't.
Pre-ordered the DD CE copy from Origin, most likely will pre-order the CE of PS3 version from GAME when they list it.
Might get the Uber edition if one is announced and it's affordable/worth it.

 Firstly, they told us about about the "uber" edition. Then, they asked us about something we want to see in it and told us it's going to be "absolutely awesome". Now, the only thing they're saying is "sorry"?

Ok, for those of you that had pre-ordered the Mass Effect 3 game before the announcement of the collector's edition, you have pre-ordered the standard game. you will need to cancel your order and submit a new order if you want the collector's edition.

It should say on your receit or the final stage of the checkout. My experiences with preodering(Steam) is they charge you when you place the order then refund you if you cancel it.

Seriously, they asked us for feedback on what we wanted in the ultimate edition and after looking over all our feedback they just threw it out the window and said screw it. Then they hastily put this together and call it done. What gives? Please give us a proper ultimate edition! I mean what kind of market research told you that creating an Ultimate edition for one of the best selling game series was not cost effective? It would easily sell out. The fact that Manveer Heir said "that version isn't uber enough?"on twitter is insulting. How much more popular a game do you need to make a proper Ultimate Edition?

Oh and what gives with the PC version of the game costing the same as the PS3 and Xbox versions? It should be cheaper on PC.

i just found out about this and I'm really, really angry right now. what the hell where they thinking?!
and insulting the fans ("isn't this one uber enough?") who would stupidly buy an overprized version with a (as we know from other uber-editions) cheaply made statuette of some sorts just because they love ME so much? shame on you, mr manveer heir! i hope this has consequences.
one should boycott this. i definitely won't buy the collectors edition, what should i do with a N7 patch? i don't know if i'll buy ME3 at all...

Relax, folks. The lack of an Uber Edition isn't the end of the World.

I'm still hoping they find a way to make one, but if not, its no major loss and I can keep another 50-70+ dollars I would've spent on it to hell, buy another game.

What with me already having preordered the CE(80 bucks with one day shipping comes out to almost 100)

I hope that the standard PC game is cheaper than on consoles. I won't buy 0-day DLC items.
