Price is significantly more than the US price :(
It's even £70 for the PC version!

I hope that the standard PC game is cheaper than on consoles. I won't buy 0-day DLC items.

So far it's not... http://store.origin....h/?keywords=me3

Relax, folks. The lack of an Uber Edition isn't the end of the World.

I'm still hoping they find a way to make one, but if not, its no major loss and I can keep another 50-70+ dollars I would've spent on it to hell, buy another game.

What with me already having preordered the CE(80 bucks with one day shipping comes out to almost 100)

It's not so much that there WON'T be an "uber" edition, it's the fact that they made a whole official thread about asking us for ideas of REALLY big bonuses to put in a "uber" edition and, after a LOT of good suggestions, they've apparently decided disregard them all and give us stuff that isn't really unique to ME. In-game bonuses, a patch, an artbook, and a lithograph are not all that original or iconic. The statue I got with Halo: Reach or even the Spartan helmet I got with Halo 3 were both better than what I think I'm getting with this. I mean, Halo: Reach had the statue, a background booklet/journal, two in-game bonuses, a patch...

THAT was an "uber" edition.

"Making of" videos are always cool - they allow me to pretend I know the team that has made games that I love so much.
Aside from that, all I really care about is the in-game content. If the DLC is as massive and awesome as it can be, I will be a satisfied customer.
The art book and comic, not necessary but I don't mind having it :)

Click the above link to vote on whether you would buy an ultimate/Uber edition if one were to be released. Maybe if enough of us vote Bioware will change their mind and make an Uber Edition for the die hard fans.

The closest we'll get to an uber edition, I think, is all of the games bundled in a package well after ME3 ships. EA has released collections of certain franchises in all-inclusive collections in the past so I don't think they'd pass up an opportunity to do the same thing with Mass Effect.

The current CE looks like it's it...for now.

So, Americans are asked to pay $20 more for the CE than the regular game. To get all that extra stuff for such a small extra cost, it's not surprising EA/Bioware's American fans are excited. I mean sure, it's not an "uber" edition as they cryptically hinted we might get when they posted a thread asking for Uber Edition content suggestions. But it still looks meatier than the ME2 CE.

So that's great, for America. Brits on the other hand are asked to pay £30 more for the CE than the regular game. Which will probably be £40 in the end, since Amazon typically end up discounting games by £10 in the run up to their release, whereas GAME (who appear to have the CE exclusively, again) typically don't.

£30 is $48.70, £40 is $64.94. Either way, that's a vast amount more than $20.

The regular edition (and indeed, 99% of games on launch) will cost us £39.99, which works out only $5 more than America's $59.99, which is fair enough, barely any difference. But if price parity can be maintained for normal games like that, why do EA feel they can get away with extorting so much more from their customers in other countries for special editions?

I'm struggling for words to describe this. Rip-off? Blatant cheek? In no way worth so much more money? Yet another example of EA's America-centric attitude toward business? Something along those lines.

A bonus disc behind the scene would be cool too, but apparently I'm asking for too much.

Hi guys - this is not intended to rival any "uber edition"...nor is it priced as such! :) This is the Collectors Edition, along same lines as the ME2 CE and the ME1 CE.

Though I had been hopeful, the uber edition doesn't look like it will materialize I'm sad to report. There's no single reason I can give you, it came down to a large number of factors.

Aww, thats a darn shame. Oh well, I'm more than excited for the standard Collectors Edition, and even more for the game itself!

Thanks for clearifying this btw, I wasnt quite sure until an official Bioware member said it. ;] (You are an official Bioware member right? :P)

Think you can give us "factors"?

Completely agree, it's ridiculous and quite frankly an insult that they believe they can do this unnoticed and unquestioned. We're just as loyal to their franchises as the US and so we should be treated with the same respect.

I'd still really like a Geth lamp, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Hopefully Bioware will make one and put it on the bioware store website :)

It's not really EA's fault though. It's European retailers. Different areas have different prices based on supply and demand. It may be unfair but it's reality.

Keep checking their store.  I preordered the model of the SSV Normandy (two of them) which isn't due out unitl November.  Maybe they'll surprise you with a geth lamp yet.

I can't seem to find the CE anywhere :\\ I live in Denmark, and I've looked through every major retailer over here. Please don't tell me it's exclusive to Game or Amazon or some *** like that.

I hope they come up with something.. even if it's a "Trilogy Edition" after the release of ME3.. I would buy it. As it stands I have 2 Collector's Editions ordered (one for each system) but I would upgrade the 360 one to an "Uber Edition" in a heart beat..

I've only seen it listed on GameStop's and Amazon's web sites.  It's probably not going to be available for preorder in stores for awhile yet.

I think it's a safe bet that the trilogy wil be released sometime after ME3.  EA has a habit of doing this with their popular franchises.
