Mass Effect 3 collector's edition

Instead of multiple editions BioWare should focus on just one uber edition that includes everything. That way anyone who buys it will get the best value for their dollar. I'm sure we'll learn more of whatever deluxe edition BioWare has planned after the release of ME2 for the PS3 and Dragon Age II. Everyone should also make sure they're on BioWare's mailing list so they'll be the first to know when this edition becomes available.

And for the uber collectible, an N7 Helmet would be awesome as would a replica Normandy or perhaps even a model of one of the weapons from the game on a stand.
Also, being as the lithographs are so popular, a small (size of the mini-lithos) team (excluding Shepard) litho, composing of all squad members who have been a part of Shepard's crew over the 3 games, signed and numbered exclusive to the Collectors Edition would be cool as well. Especially if members of your squad end up not surviving, would be a nice "lest we forget" kinda momento.
P.S. If one is made, please make the uber edition available in Australia or I will be a very sad panda.

I'd like to see the highest end version be called the "Reaper Edition" or something like that and include the following.
* Full Mass Effect 3 game
* Special Steelbook case
* 2 hour bonus mission to gain Reaper tech, this tech then allows you to unlock a full set of interchangable Reaper inspired armor pieces and a full compliment of Reaper technology inspired weapons, including a heavy pistol, shotgun, sniper rifle, assault rifle and heavy weapon so no matter your character, you could make use of at least some of the weapons. This content would be exclusive to this edition and be included on the disc or a bonus disc, not DLC.
* Mass Relay inspired USB Thumb Drive, with all promotional videos and trailers for ME 3, BTS making of videos and cast diaries, 2 or 3 exclusive premium themes for Xbox Dashboard or PS3 XMB, or PC desktop themes. Exclusive Xbox Avatar item, say the Reaper Armor from the DLC, or Playstation Home or PC items. **** SOME SPOILERS AHEAD *** Maybe some exclusive made for this edition content. Like some special cutscene style videos, maybe Shepard's funeral after SR1 ordeal, Mordin when he was younger singing more Gilbert and Sullivan tunes, stuff like that. Maybe some additional poems that Jack wrote, or the entire Justicar code written out to read. More Miranda's insemination dating outtakes. **** Spoilers End*****
* Bonus disc with full ME 3 soundtrack.
* Metal replica "Spectre" pin, kind of like the Spectre Inductee achievement logo.
* Set of N7, Alliance Military, and Cerberus cloth patches.
* Normandy SR2 metal keychain with LED engine lights.
* Exclusive signed and numbered mini lithograph of the Reaper Fleet or something equally cool.
* Complete Hardcover Codex with full illustrations (and maybe some concept art) and text from the ingame codex, and where applicable, expanded upon. 250 - 350 pages or whatever it takes.
* Ultra custom packaging, have the entire package come in a Reaper inspired self opening vault box. Something along the lines of the packaging used for the Vault Edition of "The Jedi Path".
Well that's my wish list anyway. Sure I'd like to see a Hot Toys replica Normandy or a full scale Replica Phalanx pistol or N7 Helmet, but there just is no way your going to get any of that stuff in an edition of reasonable price. Not of good quality anyway, and I don't want some crap toyish replica, like the Halo 3 cat helmet or Gears of War 2 toy replica Lancer. In my view, it should be done by a higher end manufacturer and done right and to a proper scale.
Bioware is never going to make a $500 or more ME 3 CE, they just aren't, and that's the kind of price point you would need to get that well made replica stuff included. We've seen $150 and slightly above CE's fairly often though, so say $200 is something they might at least consider.
I'd rather see a ton of smaller more realistic to produce and affordable to include items in a Ultra CE, and just get those replicas made by Hot Toys or whoever, and buy them on thier own. I'm not saying what I'm suggesting is totally achievable, but going by what other CE's have included at a lesser price point, I think most, if not all of it could be done if Bioware really wanted to do it.

I'm surprised BioWare's marketing department hasn't picked up on the Gold Mine that is multiple cover art. Some of the most hardcore of comic book fans have purchased the same comic multiple times solely to have the different cover art.rynluna wrote...
I'm not too picky on what I want to see but I'd love an alternate FemShep cover. It would be a nice nod to the fans to close the series. Oh, and it would sell like hotcakes. : P
Of course, I always hated the practice when comic books do that because my luck would dictate that the only comic book left would be the one with the vorcha on the cover because other people managed to get the male Shepard/female Shepard/Tali/Garrus/Reaper cover variants first.

That's usually how my luck works out but there's always Ebay!

I wouldn't mind some fancy in-game armor- OOH I want Shepard's dogtags. I think that would be cool. Especially if they had a little bit of battle-damage. The ones you get from LotSB maybe.

What if the ME3 incarnation is referred to as "Mass Effect 3: It's a Keeper".
Eh? Eh?

But you do realize it'd be only available in Canada because Bioware HQ is in Edmonton, eh?

not trying to crush dreams, but all i can see as the replica bioware mentioned being an n7 helmet or a m8 avenger assualt rifle.
Let's hope they include more than that. I'm thinking any model included with the uber edition of the game will be the SR2 Normandy. A helmet is just...a helmet.

Free DLC with package upon release would be great too.
In terms of physical stuff, scale models of SR2 and SR1 would be great but would be more interested in seeing SR2 myself what do you guys think.
I have to say that physical stuff is not that useful to me gets looked at once or twice and then sits in box. but have to buy mass effect 3 collectors edition if there is one as have both previous ones.
Interesting point about calling it the Reaper edition that would be a very cool twist.
Although ME1 did have a limited collectors edition.

For me a good C.E consists of behind the scenes/making of DVD, soundtrack (in this case from all 3 games would be awesome), hard cover art book and some form of exclusive DLC is nice too. I'm also a fan of steelbooks and nice gloss fold out covers that have artwork on them.
That's all I want. A proper Behind-the-Scenes DVD, a nice art book and the soundtrack, plus a small in-game DLC bonus, all wrapped up in a steel case. No fancy uber-whatever stuff and insane prices.
Just a "regular" ME3:CE, I'd buy it on release... pre-order it, even. Uber-CE? If it's 120$ in the States I can only imagine the horror price it'll have in my country.

That wishlist of yours is very unrealistic. You want it to have the patches? How would Bioware know what patches to include unless a problem arises? Plus all downloadable content to be included? Pfft, it might not have even been created yet.
Man, if you had your way, the Collector's Edition would cost $100.
In any case, on topic -- my wish list would be:
1. Comes with a free item like an N7 sticker, Normandy replica or whatever they can think of. Similar to the R/C car that comes with Call of Duty: Black Ops.
2. Game soundtrack.
3. Comics!
4. A poster signed by the dev team.

The patches were in reference to Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. As for downloadable content, it's not unreasonable to expect some DLC upon the ME3's release (similar to Zaeed and Normandy Crash Site for ME2).
Given that this is the last game in the trilogy the collector's edition of Mass Effect 3 may cost $100 dollars. That was the case for Starcraft 2 and it sold out almost immediately.
