In a perfect world, my special uber edition would include the following:
A model of the Normandy SR2 that’s at least 8 inches long, very detailed and made of something other than cheap plastic. A nice display base would be great too. Lights on the Normandy or on the base to illuminate the ship would be great bonus as well. It also needs to be painted, not sure how I would feel about a solid metal all silver Normandy.
A detailed codex filled with as much info on the mass effect universe as possible. In the other forum someone suggested that it be an actual working e-reader type device that looks like the data pad from the game. That would very cool but also probably absurdly expensive so a great book might have to suffice. I think a phone/computer app with all that information on it would suffice as well and be the most inexpensive option.
Shepherd dog tags with or without battle damage.
Someone suggested a Normandy SR2 hat like the one Joker wears which I think would be great.
A poster map of the Mass effect universe with information on all the major locations.
All of this packaged inside a really nice, metal collector’s case made to look like something found in the mass effect universe.

The great thing about the Normandy is that there was no alternate ship to choose from, everyone had to use that ship in the games and so I think it would have the greatest appeal to the most gamers. And honestly, who could hate the Normandy, it’s an awesome ship.

In reference to the gun though, I think it would be quite easy to pick one. You need to look no further than the M-8 Avenger, it may not be everyone's favorite but it is THE iconic gun for mass effect.
My favorite gun, for both power and looks, is the M-96 Mattock, but you can't deny that the Avenger is Mass Effect.
Just my 2 copper.

I agree with you on the Avenger. My personal favorite is the Revenant machine gun but nothing says Mass Effect like the Avenger assault rifle.

If anything coming with the Collector's Edition, I would like to see a soundtrack and full size Artbook (not the mini-book size that came with ME2 CE)! The in game items feel a bit useless imho.
The first game had a full size 176 page Artbook that was sold seperately, I love that book and want more like it! :happy:

A mass relay replica would be interesting. I also vote for an artbook as well. I think someone suggested a compendium of the Mass Effect explaining everything from A to Z. After the release of Dragon Age 2 we should hear something about the uber edition of ME3 (my best guess).

A piece of REALLY BADASS HEAVY ARMOUR and a Super huge machinegun that spews out hundreds of bullets that do super damage and dismember enemies and punch huge holes in them! A N7 helmet I can wear and a steel model of the Normandy SR1 and the SR2. A poster of all the teammates in mass effect 3, one with male shepard and one of female shepard. Garrus eyepiece that I can wear and at last a codex book with all the information about the mass effect universe.

I guess you guys aren't listening, but there are a lot of people here who want a collector's/ultimate edition of ME3. We're willing and waiting to give you our money!
WHY haven't you started selling a special/collector's/ultimate edition of ME3? ME3 has been available for preorder for a while now. Give us a reason to preorder it!
You didn't start selling Dragon Age II without a special/collector's/ultimate edition, so why is ME3 getting the short end of the stick?
At this point, whatever the collector's edition is it better have some awesome extras/DLC.

The goodies in the ME2 CE didnt really have any lasting value, other then the odd glance at the artbook.
Having a model or some other 'desk' item would be great. Along the lines of the Fallout 3 Bobblehead or the Halo Reach Spartan team. If its a Reach like squad team Just include a helmet wearing manshep/femshep which you can replace and switch.

Oh they're listening, no doubt about it. In fact BioWare started a thread previously asking what we'd like an uber edition to include. I started this thread not knowing that.
I'm confident that BioWare won't let us down in this regard. We just have to be patient and continue posting suggestions in this thread
