If people want to show their appreciation and discuss/speculate about various plots and options, not argue pettily, WITHOUT someone coming in with "she is SO ugly" types of responses, for God's sake, let them.

How about we say that we don't hold women to the same ridiculous standards in real life instead of implying that real life women are mostly ugly. They aren't, real life women are mostly beautiful.

I can't wait to meet Isabela. We don't know that much about her character from seeing her in DAO, so it'll be interesting to see a little deeper into her personality. I'm a big fan of independent women characters, and you just know a pirate captain is going to be nothing if not independent.

I hope she has some personality beyond coy banter, and I don't think I'll be disappointed. Just as long as she retains her independence and doesn't get all clingy, her romance subplot has a lot of potential. I think I'm definitely going to romance her on my first playthrough at max rivalry. Should be...spicy.

i'd like to see her as a double crosser to her clients but loyal to her friends and crew.
maybe even plan a "betrayal" for our party to get more inside information while she's supposedly working for the enemy

Yes. She had a dime-a-dozen model in Origins however, they can't really give that bland model to her in DA2 - especially considering how unique everybody else is looking.

I had some trouble posting my explanatory picture properly on page 2 of this thread but now that I've edited it, Isabela bashers may want to take a look at it and reconsider how much they hate the new model. And even if they still do, which is their right, they should say it diplomatically to avoid another locking.

I'm debating whether my Male or Lady Hawke are going to romance her with rivalry.

Also, I wonder how things will go if she's in the party when/if we meet Alistair and he and the Warden had that threesome with her.

See, I leave the forum for 2 days and suddenly theres a new trailer, a new (old) character and Varric has a crossbow named Bianca. I should evidently leave more often.

It's pretty obvious the Isabela needed a redesign - her DAO model was generic and... pretty ugly. I'm rather a fan of this new Isabela, and I especially like her style - the clothes and daggers are really nice. I also like that, as someone mentioned, barring a retcon she's the first non-heterosexual female lead. I especially like that.

What I want to know is whether she'll have the same voice actor, and if so will she call Hawke "Sweet thing"?

no,  she won't have the same voice actor (who also voiced anora, and this is partly the reason for the change).
