Dragon Age: Origins – Ultimate Edition registration is available to register on all 3 platforms. By registering users will gain the ability to post in the Dragon Age Forums restricted to game registration. Registered users will also get an icon below their portrait showing they have registered the Ultimate Edition. The icon is combination of the DA:O icon and the Awakening icon.
Awakening auto registration is intended for users who purchased digital versions of Awakening without receiving a CD Key/UPC code has been added. Auto registration requires that you have unlocked an achievement in Awakening and it can be triggered by two different methods.
Method 1: When registering Dragon Age: Origins, the site will check if that user has unlocked any Awakening achievements that have been synchronized to their Online Dragon Age Player Profile on Social. If achievements are found then Awakening will be registered to that user’s account. If a user already has DA:O registered and Awakening achievements they can un-register DA:O and then re-register it for this method to work.
Method 2: When a new Awakening achievement is synchronized to an Online Dragon Age Player Profile on Social, the site will check if that user has already registered DA:O. If DA:O is registered then Awakening will be registered for that user.
Better player profile visibility was added so users can more easily access their player profiles and their friends as it was very hard to find until you register Dragon Age: Origins. Under the ‘Games’ tabs on a Social profile page there are now 2 sections. The first section is still ‘Games Registered To X’ and the second section is ‘Dragon Age: Origins - Player Profiles’. The player profile section appears differently if you visit your own profile than someone else’s profile. Viewing someone else’s profile you will only be able to see links to their player profile that have character data present in their Online Dragon Age Player Profile on Social. If you are viewing your own profile you will see the same links as everyone else along with a “(sync my profile)” link next to any version of the game where no character data is present.
