I dont see how its "our problem" when their system doesn't do pre-orders correctly.

IF its in a person's shopping cart, the SERVICE should automatically pull it from the inventory and place it on a "hold" until

1) the order is completed then move the item to "sold" status

2) the order / shopping cart is time limited example 1 hour, then it auto clears and the customer has to reorder the item again.

Why is this service not doing this?

I personally can understand why something isn't removed from inventory until an order is processed rather than just laying in the cart. Otherwise, someone could just plop a bunch of product in their cart and prevent anyone else from buying it until Bioware personally removed the item in question. This way, stock isn't removed from inventory until they actually have someone's money down.

However, I also tried 7 times or so to pre-order and was give an error message each time saying "Order not placed" followed by a blurb about the store removed or changed the pricing of the shipping option you selected, please try again with one of the shipping options below. Of course the shipping options were always the same, two day for $15 and standard for $6. I even tried backing out and changing the shipment details when I first order and then matching on the submit screen. Everytime I submitted the store returned the same error, until I eventually received an error message stating the quanity of product in my cart was too high as the lithos had gone out of stock. According to the error, I was denied a pre-order because the Bioware store was constantly changing the shipping options available or the pricing thereof. I doubt either is true, so i can only assume a system glitch prevented my order and yet that is somehow supposed to be my fault if I read the above posts correctly?

I just really wish there would be a stricter limit on the amount available to one person per order. At least temporarily. Especially on the three packs. The three packs should be limited to 1 per order. I'd have been fine with them allowing multiple lithos per order once they release them individually as long as the packs would've been limited to 1.

Seriously, they're going to sell out regardless. Why not let more people buy them? Instead, people will exploit these and sell them on eBay for ridiculous prices. These 3 packs were limited to 3 per customer. That means some customers ordered 9 lithographs. Assuming they actually DO keep one of each for personal collection, they're selling 6 of them on eBay. I say restrict to one per customer from now on, at least for a week after going on sale. If the lithos still aren't sold out after a week, allow multiples.

And I would have to tell you that this has been a topic on the forum (Store support forums) numerous times. There are international customers that want to save on shipping by being able to order for themselves and friends (be it true or untrue), there also are national customers that want to order several for themselves and friends. So... the current cap is the most reasonable compromise that they were able to offer.

"Friends" who they sell it to on eBay for a 300%/400%+ profit... If that was really the case then the friend could just order it him/herself; that's just a ridiculous excuse. I'm not taking this out on you though stardazzled (I know you're just giving me a summary of how these arguments usually go), I'm just one of those who feel it should be stricter. And for obvious reason too; I only order one when I buy these. No reason for me to be getting mad yet though... but if I manage to miss out on these on every single chance that they're offered, I will be furious.

I have been speaking with the store. and they told me that the next set of lithograph pre-sale packs will be going live very close to 5pm (so approximately 105 minutes), so get ready.

Remember - just because it is in your cart, that DOE NOT guarantee you will get it. Only once payment has been confirmed, then the lithos are yours. Good luck and happy ordering.:)

So basically its a lottery and a big FU if you don't get it rather than a 'hey guys maybe we should look at the online store tech and see if it can be improved'

This time should I refresh the Three Pack item page or the page that lists all of the available lithographs?

Well, fixing it would require maintenance time which means no one gets the lithographs. Which I suppose is okay with some people on a "if I don't get one, no one should" mentality.

I do too.

It could be just me, but I just relized that these are being released right before the ME 2 Action Figures that include Tali, Grunt, and Thane. I just thought that is ironic.

Why is it so expensive for international shipping, expecially on ebay?.

You should ask the shipping company :) It's not to Bioware to decide about prices of shipping.

I've tried buying items from other countries on ebay, but usually, the price of shipping outweighed the cost of the item. You would think that there would be a cheaper form of international shipping.

The package is extremely large, thin but large. My last litho post stamp from BWS said 29.50 for 2 lbs while Take2 shipped 2.3 lbs at 36 to Germany. (both USPS Priority)

I could be mistaken but I know that the items I have ordered, ship via XPO, which is part of Canada Post. I would assume that once it hits a certian country or location they have set methods of shipping, sometimes the local post or sometimes a shipper.
