I have finished the game multiple times with three characters.
A female human cleric of Lathander, a female half-elven chaotic good swashbuckler, and a male human true neutral werewolf.
What build was your main character?

Finished the entire thing (BG1 to ToB) with a paladin (cavalier) wielding Carsomyr. Good times. Played BG2 again with a half-elven archer, but it wasn't nearly as much fun.

I finished the entire BG series with a pure Wizard, as I recall.

Can't really remember but my first BG1 character was most likely a mage. I pretty much always start as mage when I have the choice and since those are often the hardest class I more often than not fail miserably 
Anyway, the first character I finished BG1 with was a femal Cleric and I think her name was Ivy. I have since finished the game only 2 more times, once as human Fighter and one final time as half-elven Cleric/Wizard.
I started BG2 countless times with all kinds of classes until my curiosity was sated and I finally finished it with a Sorceress by the name of Ivy. Yes, MANY of my femalce characters have this name.
Since then, I've finished BG2 too many times to remember. There were like at least 3-4 more sorcerers, multiple Kensai/Mages, one Druid (Dualclassed from Berserker), one Paladin and the occasional Monk or other unusual class thrown in for good measure. I think I've played almost all classes once at least until chapter 4-5.
My first (and up to this date only) character to finish ToB was a Sorcerer again.
