I finally stopped having the problem  with game minimizing to tray for no reason, and here comes a brand new problem that just started today out of nowhere.
In the past hour I've had to ctrl+alt delete out of the game twice because my mouse pointer and keyboard just stops responding and I can't click anything.

The first time, it happened while I was trying to save. When I started typing my save's name, my keyboard just stopped responding and I couldn't type, and then I couldn't exit because the mouse stopped responding.

Second time was about 10 minutes ago; I went to char select screen and couldn't select anyone or cancel out because mouse pointer stopped working.

Mouse/keyboard are fine and in working order for all other programs - this is only happening in DA:O.
My specs surpass the minimum required to run the game, I have no programs running in the background (no antivirus, firewall, etc.)

what kind of mouse/keyboard is it?

A wireless logitech mouse and an adesso mini keyboard. And they both are fine except for in the game.



Or did you mean something else?

you might try updating the drivers for them... another guy had a problem with his keyboard quitting randomly, and it turned out to be his software that ran the keyboard features

Ok I just did driver updates for my mouse and keyboard and it says I have the latest drivers already.

did you do it through windows or from the manufacturer?

I did it through windows. But the keyboard and mouse work fine,why would it only stop working for this particular game if something is wrong with them?

The only time my Logitech keybord/mouse stop responding is if the transponder is blocked somehow. It might simply be something on your desktop that is in the way today.

you need to get the drivers from the device manufacturer's website... drivers are a piece of software that allow the computer to tell how to use the device a certain way... they update drivers because there are new ways to use the hardware... if you have old drivers and a program (game) tries to use a new feature it will freeze

Quit posting on all the keyboard threads that **** isen't working for anyone.Ther seems to be somthing wrong with the game its self.

So STFU noob.

@ Evesol: likely an combination of the game and your OS. If you've got Windows: it's know to behave strange and unexpected... perhaps an combination of something that your OS was doing and that DA was doing that lead to strange commands for the system, aka an small crash.

Eh, this happened to me too.



I solved it by yelling at the computer screen and pressing every button on my keyboard.



Scoff if y'like, but it's worked three times for me. I suppose I must have been pressing something that made the keyboard function change, and then by pressing whatever it is again, it fixes itself.



That, or pure random, dumb luck. But hey, I'm happy.

Im in the same boat. my mouse and keyboard stop working for some reason. It work perfect before the new patch. Ive only just started having problems after 1.03. its very annoying i have to alt control delete out the game and start over again. only for it to happen a few minutes later.
