I installed the game off of just the first disc and was able to play.  Why then is there a second disc?  Does anyone know what I need it for or when I will need it?  When I put in the second disc, I wasn't given any installation options, just play or uninstall option.  That's the same as if the disc wasn't even there.  What is on the second disc?

I believe the second disc contains files you need for different language versions of the game.

You could open it up and see what's stored on it...

but if you don't put second DVD, you can't never play game. why is this question? Bioware, EA they know better than you why they gave you two discs. there is always a reason.

The question isn't if Bioware/EA knows better. He is asking so that he can understand the reason. The question is valid.

"Value Edition"?  That's not something I have ever heard about.  The european distributions had English on the first disk, and never asked for the second one, unless the system that was involved had another language set as its default, & only then, it asked for, and installed, the other language's files from that second disk.  Residents of the UK who weren't immigrants trying to hold onto another language, never needed more than disk one.

The second disc comes packed with a documentary, design galleries, game trailers, music and the Bring Down The Sky downloadable content expansion. There is 4,70 Gbs of Data; Eurodocs; Direct X;Visual CRT software and there is autorun. That's what it includes on the second disk.
Maybe there will be a need to insert it from time to time, like a disk swapping in-game. The same thing is happening on xbox. Like one disc includes one thing while second has textures, for example. But that's just a guess. I haven't played it yet, I just bought it today.

And by responding four months later you didn't help the OP any more than they did.

In before the lock.

Really? Did you notice two of my comments? No? Read above. Make sure you read everything before claiming that I didn't answer on his question. Image IPB

It's not banned in Australia? Imagine that.

Well, I know that was not helpful, but there is a large forum of people who will help you called the tech support forum.

I read what Beautiful Thief said and I tried to access what he mentioned like the documentaries but couldn't find anything. Any help? Also I can't download BDTS DLC because this website won't let me register the game. Any help on that?
