The vast majority of female characters who use sex to get what they want choose to do it. It's really hard to fit 'uses sex to get what you want' into a rape scenario.

And why does she need to be humane? She's a pirate. They're a group that commits act of violence for personal gain. No one ever suggests that Han Solo, Jack Sparrow, or Long John Silver ought to stop being so mean and just hand out the ****jobs when they want something.

I can see shades of Salma Hayek, but that's it.

As for Isabela's pants, as was mentioned earlier, she is the original owner of the golden/silver pantaloons. A major quest in DA2 will be returning them to her. At which point you'll press a button and she will morph into the giant magical golem-sentinel construct seen in the trailer and brought up in Maria's "What is this?" thread and scream:

"HOW DO Y'LIKE MY ARMOUR NOW, *****ES!"

I'd question how many of these choices happen as result of feeling one actually doesn't have other effective options to achieve their goals, but that would move discussion into too generic area, i think. Let's just say i disagree with you here, and i think Isabela is in very different (and more comfortable) situation.

If you mean that such choices are common for characters in fiction where it's much easier to provide working alternatives... yes, but then so what? Does it somehow alter the enjoyment Isabela likely gets out of her sex, or does it affect her choice in some way? I'm just confused what point is that supposed to make.

I didn't say she needs to be humane. That wasn't a demand but just an observation that could be made about her nature, based on what choices she actually makes.

 From what I've seen from Isabela in DAO she's more interested in people who prove to be more or less her equal. For instance, the Warden is one of the best fighters in Ferelden and is also a Grey Warden ergo, they aren't just some mark off the street, the same goes with Zev, he's a highly trained Antivan Crow; someone, who like the Warden  who is near equal to Isabela in combat skills and intellect.

Carver: So, your a pirate right? Why abandon you life of tavern crawling in Kirkwall to go and join us?

Isabela: Please, cheating at cards and fighting drunken sailors can get boring after a while. Besides there's no sport in dealing with an easy mark. Besides being cooped up in the city isn't for me.

I don't know but i doubt it would matter since they didnt end up looking all that similar.

The sacred ashes trailers were modeled on real women. Not the in-game characters.

I'm not convinced Victoria Johnson was used for the Ashes Morrigan, she bears more resemblance to the game version.

I agree. I think she does, besides, I saw once a picture taken by her before going to work on the modeling of Morrigan.  Perhaps she might look different in some scenes but it was her for the trailer of sacred ashes. As well as Claudia Black being there to record her voice for the trailer.

The same can be said for Alley katze and Corine Kempa.

since they are using characters from chuck, i would laugh my ass off if they based a male li off of Zachery Levi

I would probably be all over a Zachary Levi-esque LI. Not as much as Varric but yeah totally cool with that.
