I fully agree with you. Those who want to change her just want the satisfaction of being able to mold another to their will, even if means taking a free spirit and breaking it. I call it the ultimate power trip. Games are made, among other things, to give us our ultimate power trips, so it's no surprise these things come up, but it won't happen with me. If the game lets me. Once broken, everything that has made her interesting would vanish into thin air, and all that remains is your power over her. You could call it a morality tale of how evil turns all you've gained to ashes.

Or maybe people are just uncomfortable with the idea of sharing their girl with others. It might make one think Isabela would only be with Hawke as a fling. Really, if she would choose her freedom to have as many partners as she wants over Hawke (after they've know each other over several years) then one has to question how much value her "Love" really has.

Of course, on the other hand, Isabela would likely be just fine with Hawke getting a little extra "action" for himself and theres likely to be a threesome or even foursome option with Isabela.

Basicly, don't expect Isabela to turn into a "good girl". She even says it herself in the demo, "You know what they say about good intentions.............I don't have any".

To me the arc of Isabela won't be about her sleeping around or whatever...I've seen nothing about her that says she won't monogamous if in a committed relationship. The arc will clearly involve (friendship/not "nice") her continuing her dirty work for the likes of Castillon or (rivalry/"nice") convincing her to stop working for the likes of him.

Me personally, I'm starting off with romancing Isabela but it might turn out like Morrigan. At first I find her every intriguing but latter on parts of her personality bug me to no end so I end up romancing the "sweet" girl. If Isabela's rivalry path is arguing with her about her "dirty" jobs then I might enjoy that quite a lot.

We shall see, Isabela doesn't seem to be in any way as cold hearted as Morrigan could come off as so I might decided she far too cool to do anything but LOVE. I know I already love her little bits of sexual innuendo, doesn't look like that aspect of her is going to be over played either if the demo is any indication.

The one thing I don't like about Isabela is surprisingly not the breast issue but the lower lip piercing(if that is the proper term). I've never been a fan of facial piercings and so it pretty much ruins an otherwise attractive model for me.

Indeed, that bothers me a lot too. Piercings can be very hot but her's looks simply ugly, I think it should have been silver color instead of bronze that blends too much in with her skin color.

Any piercing is better than none. It's not often you have pierced companions, barring ears.

Also I think it looks hot. She's a pirate. Pirates dig gold.

Oh wow, look at that. I guess lighting really does make a big difference. Ok since this is what Isabela ACTUALLY looked like in DAO then the character model for her in DA2 is definitely an improvement.

Lol im sure if the player wants to can make Isabela fall in love because its the same thing with Morrigan she only wanted what she wanted and if that involved what the Warden wanted then so be it. Than Morrigan started to fall in love so in other words if a player wishes to have fun so be it, if the player wants her for him/her self so be it.
