Oh well, it's all good now. Isabela is definitely my favorite DA2 companion. Strong woman, knows wht she wants, and killer curves.

Isabela does not hump everything she see's. If you brought her along and talked to her, you would know she has standards.TheMyrddon wrote...

She does, and I think she's always entirely serious with some of her sex-related comments. For example, when Isabela states she'd sleep with Donnic if Aveline doesn't jump on it....I don't think she was serious.

But she needs to be told not to screw Zev from what I'm told.

He meets her standards.
Anyway, if you aren't in an active romance with her, she runs off with him regardless (Hawke has no say, of course). If you are, you can either tell her 'no' (she won't do it) or you can join in. I wonder if this happens if the Warden romanced Zev...hmmm.

Yeah, I'm wondering if Zev cheats on the warden behind his/her back. If it's an option that is. Even if it's player controlled when it comes to Hawke, it also means he probably did the same with other people behind the warden's back.

(though I didn't romance her, and she ran off because I didn't give her enough points for anything).

Yeah I agree with you. She is the one staple in my party and if you listen to her party banter, and some of the other interaction, you'll find out that the rumors of her promiscuity is exaggerated.

Nah, I think most of it is "talk". Now, she probably sleeps around more then the other companions do, and do I think the character is written with a strong libedo? Oh yeah for sure, but nothing like a new man(or woman) every night or whatever is implied. There is even one dialog exchange with another party member where she even says so: "suprisingly, not as many as people think." answering a question about the number of lovers she has.

I've read back a number of pages in this thread and it's been interesting. I see my Hawke as someone who is not going to try and change Isabela and will simply accept her for who she is. In turn, some of Isabela's fun and carefree approach to life rubs off on Hawke, as she can be quite formal sometimes. They make a good team and are happy with what they have in each other.
It's kind of interesting that once again, my mage falls for a rogue. In Origins, my Amell mage fell hard for Leliana. It's also ironic that Leliana knows Isabela, Isabela knows Amell, and Amell and Hawke are first cousins but haven't met yet. Would certainly make for an interesting double date or night out...

here is some cushion.....
During the conversation with her when you give her the last gift in Act 3, the fertility gift, she speaks of love and your choice for the romance option is "I'm not asking for love", you basically tell her you just want to have a roll in the hay, well my question is; this can't be the extent of the romance is it?
You don't have to completely spoil it for me, but was that the last interaction with her?
Currently she is 100% friendship and all gifts have been bestowed upon her. She asked me to be a part of her crew.

I'm in Act 2, she's been at Hawke's house and in her bed, I've given her the gift and her "questioning beliefs" quest is done though I hadn't noticed there had been a quest by that name when it came up, I just talked to her when available. She's also been at 100% friendship.
Now the same happened with Merrill, except that I turned her down when she began to speak about love. Because of some quest, Merrill's now at 100% friendship and Isabela at 95%. Neither of them has the alternate outfit I've seen mentioned here and there, but Isabela mentioned I had something with Merrill in a banter, which surprised me since I turned her down. Isabela owns the "thumbs up" icon though.
Now I'm doing "Catch the Thief" and she's gone. Will there be any problems with the romance? I'm confused because of the apparent contradiction between the banter and the "thumbs up" icon.

@ Ieldra, if you are in a romance with her and her friendship is high she will come back

Varric: Rivaini, stop looking at my chest. My eyes are up here.
Isabela: But the chest hair...
Varric: Do you know how much I suffer under your gaze? I am a person, not an object!
Isabela: Uh, Varric?
Varric: (Laughs) Just ****ting you.
───────
Varric: I'll let you run your fingers through it, if you want.
Isabela: Your chest hair? My fingers? Oh, Varric, stop! You're making me quiver.
Varric: You know you want to.
Isabela: Oh, I do... I can't resist you. No woman can.
Varric: I know. It's a terrible burden.
───────
Varric: I **** you not, Rivaini, it was this big.
Isabela: There's no way. Impossible! I've had hundreds of those in my hands, and they're never that size.
Varric: Would I lie about something so critical?
Anders: I can't stand it anymore, what are you two talking about?
Varric: We're discussing knives of course. Well, daggers technically, I never remember the difference. Why? What did you think we were talking about?
───────
Isabela: Psst. I've got some of it written down now.
Varric: Give it here. "Her breasts strained against the leather jerkin like two wild stallions corralled against their will." (Chuckles) "She pounced–the smooth moves of a jungle cat–and locked her thighs around Donnic's waist. He–"
Isabela: Maybe you should read the rest of it in private.
Varric: I think that's best.

I agree. Isabela/Varric and Isabela/Aveline have the best banter in the game. I also like that at first Isabela and Aveline hate eachother at first but in year 7 they get along now and are kinda friends.T3hAnubis wrote...

No. With Isabela she has the casual path and the love path. The casual path can be started after the sex scene, where love you have to talk to her after the sex scene. The lust part is really a joke by Hawke. At the final battle she should tell you her feeling about you and then you will complete the romance. That only happens if you did the love path. You also have to have done her quest line, gave her both gifts and finished all her conversations.Raanz wrote...

I have to say that Isabela is probably my favorite companion in DA2, I romanced her and allowed her to take the relic even though I knew a lot of people would die if she did, it was a leap of faith for me and I felt well rewarded when she came back kicking butt with the relic in hand ready to hand it over to the Arishok, t'was most epic, and the whole dueling the arishok for her was just awesome XD made me feel good to beat the crap out of him in the name of love (that was corny...)
Wow well this sums up some of the coolest moments with Isabela, and I thought it was amazing too when you give her the relic, and she comes back against all odds (this shows how amazing BioWare storytelling is, it is fascinating). She is by far my favorite DA2 character, and it would be a toss up between Morrigan and Isabela for the best DA character. Keep up the great characters BioWare, they are amazing.
